Reviewed By rayrayyeahbabyIt was like we had never been away! :) Having stayed here many times before, we were so pleased to find that despite the devastating affects of Covid-19 on the tourism industry in Bali, the bars, restaurants & spa were all open for service, and even better was that most of the same wonderful people still worked at the Melia Bali. Staff don’t just work here committed to looking after customers; we consider all to be our friends too and it was sad to leave as always. Too many to mention all, but a special shout-out to Sumarta who took the time to call our room on arrival to welcome us back and also saw us off. A lovely man. To Yan and Murdana at the pool bar, who were always on the ball as usual and to Made Astini in the Lobby bar who gives the biggest hug & pours the perfect brandy lol. And lastly to Marsi, Catur and the ladies at Yhi Spa, 3 massages in 5 days tells you a lot about how good these ladies are. This trip was short, the next one will be longer, but it was great to be back :) Thanks all. Ray & Jools.

They very generously upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which has the most gorgeous suite set up with a bath tub facing the ocean. Also this upgrade including complimentary things like afternoon tea and unlimited non alcohol drinks which was a great bonus! Also you could use the non motorised water sports equipment for free. They also gave a free his and hers hats with a cute bag ? Their whatsapp room service means communication is incredibly easy and instant for any needs. The staff are the true asset to this hotel. Every single one of them were so happy, friendly and helpful. This complex is also by a beautiful quiet clean beach where it wont be a surprise if you’re the only ones enjoying the view as it’s pretty secluded! After checking out we had half the day before needing to leave for the airport and they continued our complimentary non alcoholic drinks even after check out which was a really nice touch. We would highly recommend the Samabe to anyone wanting luxury, comfort and a friendly place.

The warm welcoming staffs, the clean and spacious room and very helpful and friendly staffs, the foods, all the ayana - rimba facilities always crave us to get back to this hotel for every of our Bali Trip. Me and our kids so in love with Kubu Beach, very well maintain and very clean. Not forgetting all the pools.

Reviewed By wnedyyAdding this hotel establishment into my to go list. Very welcoming and staffs are always ready to greet and alert whenever we walk past them. Literally everyone - from those along the corridor to those looking after the restaurant/ beach. (Just Wow!) One of them even went to the extend of escorting us to the gym when we can’t find our way there… and it was quite a distant away from the restaurant she is station at. Rooms are clean, resort is clean immediately after the rain, staffs can be seen sweeping away water puddles and leaves. The views are amazing and yes, I will definitely be back!

Reviewed By josep aThis place in the south east of Bali, not as crowded as Kuta or Nusa Dua, but they have a beautiful place and beach. this place is the perfect place for relaxing but still not far from the city, they have 3 public pools and several rooms option. the room very cozy and clean with nice big bathroom. Breakfast was great with a lot of option. The staff very friendly and helpful. And there are several warung (local restaurant) near the Resort, if want to have others option for dinner. This could be one of must to stay in Bali.

Reviewed By Mark FVisited after booking back in December 19, they are still undergoing some minor repair after covid, but how wonderful this place is the staff couldn’t do enough for us, the food in the restaurant here is 5star dining at its best with a complimentary afternoon tea as well to die for. We stopped in Jakti a 2 bed villa again outstanding. A must is to walk down to the main pool called delight corner and what a delightful place it is with cabanas and sun loungers the pool looks like you are in the tree tops and infinity. If you are going to Bali don’t tell to many people about this unspoilt gem. Heaven in paradise from start to finish, hopefully the photos have loaded. If anyone needs to see more please just ask

Reviewed By BuckosmumWe stayed at Club Med Bali from 1 to 8 June 2022. It’s as outstanding as it was on our prior visit circa 2010. We have travelled extensively over 50 years, and visited many Club Meds in Asia, the Pacific, South America and Europe. So, we have plenty of yardsticks available. Club Med Bali’s location, gardens, pool, sports and dining facilities are second to none. Rooms are a bit outdated but still very comfortable. The entire resort is stylish but unpretentious, and offers more than a nod to traditional Balinese architecture. Cuisine was consistently high quality with a huge range of international choices. Husband Mike, himself an accomplished chef, is full of praise for Exec Chef Roshan, Sous-chef Geronimo, Food and Beverage Manager Sujit and their entire team. We got to know many of the GOs, or gentile (“nice” in French) organisers by name, such is the respectful informality of the Club Med "culture", and the clearly genuine desire for their guests (gentile members) to have fun and feel at home. It might be a cliché, but “home away from home” is an apt description. It is very difficult to capture, in words, the warmth of welcome, the enthusiasm of the GO’s , and the desire to give their guests a really wonderful experience. We are 86 and 75 respectively. Mike has several serious health conditions and uses a wheelchair. We thought we might be too old and feeble for Club Med. We were wrong. We had a marvellous experience. Chef du Village Yoan remarked to us “no-one is old at Club Med”. His words are true. All the Club Med team went out of their way to help us navigate the obstacles posed by frailty and immobility. We are full of praise and gratitude. All the GO’s, from “senior management” to the more “junior” people were wonderful. We spent a lot of time with two, in particular; Ziko and Iko (those are their “Club Med” names, not their real names). They dined with us on several occasions. Two young people keen to learn, curious about everything, diligent in carrying out their duties, keen to “go the extra mile”, always smiling, and loving being part of Club Med. It was a joy to share time with them. We are sure that colleagues of Ziko and Iko would be equally caring and companionable; that is the nature of Club Med.

Fantastic experience
Reviewed By Francis HMy wife and I finally had a chance to return to Zen after travel restrictions were relaxed. In the two years when no guests were able to come, Mohendra the owner somehow held the staff together, and they developed new spaces in the forest portion of the property, which has only expanded the magic! We returned and found that the Zen continues to excel at care for everyone. Ayurvedic treatments were exceptional and varied, and very effective. The staff are highly skilled and experienced, friendly and caring. The physical rejuvenation was matched by the opportunities for mental and spiritual growth, delivered skilfully at a pace and in a way that suits your own particular needs. In the time we were there we built our relationships with staff and other guests alike. As Mohendra noted at one of the several dinners that spontaneously turned into evenings warm discussion among strangers who became friends, “supporting connection and humanity” is what the Zen strives to do and succeeds in doing. I cannot recommend any place more highly than Zen for recovery and rejuvenation after the stresses of the past two years, and for preparation for the challenges of the future.
