I ate at Vertep twice: the menu is surprisingly broad for a small, simple place, and prices are very reasonable. Salads tasted fresh, the "Carrathian Delicacy" pork dish was hearty with lots of pork, potatoes and onions and a great flavor, and the borscht was good, although not the best in town. Service was perfunctory and adequate. The atmosphere was cheerful despite being in a relatively low-ceiling cellar. I'd go back for the wide variety of choices, the fresh vegetables and generous portions and the affordable prices.

This place is one of the first craft-breweries in Transcarpathia, and one of the first breweries in a long time.The beer is really good, for a tiny city like Uzhhorod - exceptional. Also, they offer specialities from time to time, brewing new types from time to time.The food is average, but it will go along with the beer as some snack.

Its a bit further out from the center, like 5-10min by car at a lets say not very nice area, but the restaurant itself is at a very nice complex with a hotel together. Its quite big, two floors with lets say 20-30 tables each floor, not really my style of decoration but clean and not bothering...like trying to look exclusive but it did not really worked out...Prices are average which means that coming from a western country you will smile when you receive the check, even if you ordered all kind of things just to try them...I am not dreaming of going back again but it was a good experience with very friendly personnel and not bad food.To be a bit more exact about the food:The dorada fish and sg like the Georgian thinkali from beef was very good, the rest were alright, steak had nothing to do with a steak but it was an eatable piece of over-grilled meat.

It looks nice inside and we felt comfortable here. Our meals were nor perfect neither awful, it was something in between. I had borsch and apple pancakes. Borsch was not so good (I had it on three consecutive days in 3 different restaurants and this one was the worst, however still eatable), pancaked were great. My partner had borgach (special Ukrainian soup) which he liked and some chicken with potatoes which was not that good and the portion was a bit too small. Prices were really good - but nothing exceptional.

This is absolutely wonderful place right outside of Uzhhorod hidden from the unwanted eyes. Charda is more than just a restaurant - this is lovely relaxation territory with nice stand alone terraces and gazebos. There is also small pool for kids. Food is terrific. Menu is extensive with tilt towards Hungarian, Central European and Mediterranean cuisines. I ordered Greek salad with grapefruit and veal medallions - both dishes were original, fresh and delicious! And also served very quickly and with a smile. I totally loved this place! One of best in Ukraine for sure.

A fast-food restaurant, with really good burgers.Burgers are big, with nice, soft buns, and real meat. They also offer some Transcarpathian specialities and the traditional Slovakian drink - Kofola.Uzhhorod doesn't have much fast-food places, but this one is a really good one.

We were recommended by an ethnologist specialised in Ukrainian culture and history some time ago and we took an opportunity to visit Desta u Notarya. Itâs bit far from the city centre but itâs worthwhile visiting there.Good selection of foods and drinks plus interesting decor with senses of humour and twist of intelligence. All of us enjoyed there.

Cool experience - to eat in a former castle.Large menu with many choices. Not very friendly staff but the food was good. Until the next day, when both my husband and I were sick. We both had dishes that had mushrooms added and we think our upset stomach (which lasted for FIVE days) was due to either old mushrooms or bad mushrooms mixed with ok mushrooms. So if you eat here, don't order anything with mushrooms and perhaps make sure there are other patrons. This restaurant was virtually empty when we were here and it was high tourist season. Very small selection of wine, especially local Ukrainian wine which was a disappointment.Recommend for the experience.Not expensive - our meal with tip was $32USD.Thank you, YayeMama for your comment! If your upset stomachs were due to mushrooms the sickness is coming max in three hours, not the next day. Any way we are very disappointed and wish you be healthy and wealthy!

Wau! There is literally nothing I could say that would not be perfect about this restaurant. The atmosphere and interier are beautiful, cosy, designed, everything fits perfectly to this place. Staff are the nicest people ever, young, smiling all the time, nothing is problem for them :) And now the food - food is gastro-orgasm! Amazing! We will be back!
