Excellent location and perfectly presented to reflect the culture

Our room was of a high quality and the service was excellent. It was a perfect stay and the only disappointment was that we couldn't stay for longer...Hopefully we will have the opportunity soon again to create another wonderful memories

Super Friendly Staff and Cool Rooms
Reviewed By deanosaur89The hotel allows in lots of natural light and it is in a quieter area of the ancient town. We booked the honeymoon suite and loved it! It had a big comfy round bed, a Japanese style toilet, overhead skylights, a projector screen, a shower with all kinds of jet settings and curtains that worked with a remote. The bathroom floors are heated and I think there is a heating system in the room but no AC. AC was not needed at all during our stay in July which was nice. We also had a cool view of Guishan Park which lights up at night! The staff is super nice at this hotel and despite the language barrier check in was seamless and they gave us extra bottles of water at night. They even offered to drive us to the bus station after our stay which was so nice and unexpected. The location of the inn was good and very near to lots of good restaurants and the things to do in Old Town. It was about a 10 minute car ride to the Shangri-La Bus Station. One downside to this place is that the shower needs some scrubbing. This isn't a big deal for us but we got towels replaced and the room cleaned but they didn't make the bed while we were out the one day. I'm not sure if the hotel provides cables for their projectors but we brought an HDMI cable with us to use it. The projector's speaker isn't too strong but good enough for two people lying in bed and it has a VGA port as well - we enjoyed watching movies at night as it was rainy while we were in Shangri-La.
