Third visite to Vanity Lounge in Santa Ana. Obliging and friendly waitress, and good service. As previously, a superb Steak. This time a 14 oz Ribeye with salad, and Baked Potato and mushrooms to accompany. Steak was cooked to perfection, and very tender. My perfect medium und my wife's perfect blue. Not the cheapest of meals, but I am happy to pay for such a good steak. I think the exchange rate made a difference! No question I will go again next days during my time here in Costa Rica.Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed your experience at the Vanity Lounge.Enjoy the rest of your trip in Costa Rica and see you soon at Vanity Lounge.

At first we blanched at the prices on the menu but then we saw that they had a fixed price menu offer, actually three different ones. We chose the Salmon and the Veal and got a full meal including drink and dessert for a very reasonable price. The salmon and the veal were cooked to perfection and the presentation was pleasing. Thanks very much for your comment . You are always Wellcome .

El Novillo Alegre is a famous restaurant in Costa Rica, with average food quality and high prices. This restaurant food quality is below peer restaurant in Santa Ana and Escazu. If you want a to have a nice dinner in the area, I recommend you explore options around Escazu like Avenida Escazu and Multiplaza-Intercontinental or in Santa Ana at City Place and Terrazas Lindora. Hope these lines are helpful. Regards,

Doris Metropolitan

The facility itself is quite nice and the service was solid but let's talk about the food. They have the best beef cuts in Costa Rica. I've been twice now. The first time was for a anniversary and we were both truly impressed with our selections. My wife had the salmon and raved about it for days. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Crisp skin but not dry interior. I had a smaller rib-eye and can now stop complaining about how horrid the beef is in Costa Rica. We've been here ten years and eaten out in many ostensibly "fine dining" ($$$$) places and always been disappointed. Not this time. They have beef equal to Dallas or Houston, TX and that's saying something. The second time was a birthday treat for a close friend. I got us a Cowboy Rib-eye and, boy, did I make the right choice. The thing was massive and beautifully marbled, cooked to light medium rare perfection with a nice char outside. Succulent. Tender. Flavorful. It ranks in my top five and I'm 73 and have traveled world-wide. That day we ate like starving men and still had a good take-home portion. I am looking for a good excuse to go back. Not for budget balancers but at least you get what you pay for and isn't that the definition of value?
