The forest was refreshing. There was natural habitat everywhere. We saw different kinds of animals and creatures on the hiking trail . The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. After hiking and zip-lining a very tasty and nutritious meal was served. If you are an outdoors person this will be the perfect activity for you while in Costa Rica. This was an adventure of a life time.

Tour guide was amazing, he knew every animal's story about their injury and how they got to the refuge. The animals were amazing and this project sure could use more funding. We enjoyed every minute! There were only two of us and we were made to feel like they were expecting us and that they were there to answer our questions.

Many and different stores. Eating, sports and utilities are all available. Traffic in Lindora Area is Lways a challenge, learn to navigate the more circuitous but faster routes and beware of the natives behind the wheels, they may be the first generation to have driven a motorized conveyance.

You access the park via Calle Ross which is the first street on your right after the roundabout (heading west). The entrance fee is 2600 Colons, and the best website for information is via fundazoo.org. There are pathways that wind through the park where there are some magnificent specimens of palms, bamboo and giant trees with spectacular buttress roots. There are picnic benches in the center of the park near the enclosure housing a Collared Peccary. There is a lovely cactus garden with some beautiful specimens, a resident crocodile in the pond to the right as you continue along the path to a small garden area planted to attract butterflies. From there, be sure to visit the Jaguar enclosure, it looks small, but the 2 Jaguars we saw looked relaxed and very healthy.
This is a lovely spot that hopefully will withstand the pressures of development. It is a jewel that should be preserved.

I joined Los Pericos of CR Ride Green Adventures for a beginning/intermediate level mountain biking experience to the Rio Tulin, just outside of Jaco Beach. The tour guides picked me up in San Jose and provided me with all that I needed for our adventure on the coast.
Fabian, Chaty and Eric gave me many pointers of what to do and not to do during mountain biking which helped a ton throughout the ride. I was fitted with an awesome bike, gator aide and water. It didn't take long to adjust and we were off on the trail.
I don't have much experience riding a mountain bike but am an avid road biker/runner and exercise enthusiast. Mountain biking kicked my bike that day. Chaty gave me wonderful instruction that helped me get through the ride and I was soon very comfortable finding my own stride and working on improving navigating the hills.
For a beginner I found the course challenging but doable. I think that with a bit more experience working the gears on hills I will do much better next time. I plan on practicing here at home in the meantime ! Mountain biking is physical and mentally challenging but fantastic exercise and a great way to explore a new place.
Along our journey to and back from the Rio Tulin we happened across a school band which we stopped to enjoy for a bit, a local supermarket for snacks and a local sculptor of truck sized creations who was more than happy to share his story and works of art with us. The Rio Tulin was a refreshing destination, off the beaten tourist path and home to beautiful wildlife and tropical scenery.
I would definitely recommend Los Pericos Ride Green Adventures to healthy travelers or families/groups looking for adventure and a good work out. This type of activity would be great for bonding adventures as well. Book a ride for the morning and enjoy a well deserved lunch with enthusiastic guides and your group. Pura Vida !

Hidden away in an upscale gated community, this gem will really delight you. From the warm greeting at the pro shop, rental club availability, caddies, and great snack bar and facilities, this is a 5 star operation. The course is spectacular, with abundant bird life, and views to enchant you from tee box to greens. Once you have played here, there is no doubt thet you'll make tracke back again and again, as I have.
