Find out what Spanish restaurants to try in Oxford. In the "city of dreaming spires," academia takes center stage. Gaze out at Oxford's world-famous university from the top of Carfax Tower before heading into the city's pedestrian-friendly streets. Follow your nose to the Covered Market for the makings of a picnic to enjoy at Headington Hill Park. Mix the historic and modern with visits to the 12th-century village church of Iffley and trendy Cowley's ethnic shops and music venues.

The Kazbar

"Recommended as one of the best tapas bars in Britain" (The Observer) and it's not hard to see why. Step through the door into a place somewhere between Seville and Marrakesh, and lose yourself. The attention to detail from decor to menu is outstanding! J

Recently visited with my partner. We were seated straight away drinks and food came really quick. The food was so good we ordered extra we had a good selection of bread, meat, cheese and dips. It was really hard to pick a favourite dish as they were all so good. The churros are a must try. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable.

Booked here on a Friday night on a weekend stay in Oxford - having googled best restaurants etc, it didn’t disappoint. Chick peas, cauli, jambon iberico, crispy lamb and onion tortilla - all superb, flavourful and interesting. We finished with a custard tart and sorbet. The staff are fantastic - attentive and knowledgeable. The food is brilliant. The place is small and very buzzy - well worth a visit.

Lovely food and service from the beautiful Aurla. The owner/manager was very welcoming too letting us sample a few wines. It's a lovely restaurant with a lovely ambience and very attentive smiley staff.Only very small criticism is the chicken and chorizo tapas was a tad bland but other than that, I cannot wait to return.
