Thanks to Trip Advisor reviewers for recommending this lovely restaurant. Chose starter and main from set menu; leek and mushroom in pastry then the trout and peach Melba for pudding. Highly recommended especially if you walk there along the canals on a beautiful fall evening.

I sat in my little mobility scooter near the front door. Sadly they donât have a toilet, though they offered to help to use Cafe Rougeâs loo.I enjoyed escargot followed by duck with cherry sauce. White burgundy to drink followed by Cote de Rhôneâs. A pleasure to be there.

Visited with family for a celebration birthday meal. A very good varied menu with a âSpecialsâ board supported by an agreeable mainly French Wine List. We all had excellent starters and mains of pheasant, lamb and the Suckling Pig (pork) âSpecialâ - just love their style of French cuisine!We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food and were looked after by most attentive staff on a very busy Saturday evening in this lovely part of Oxford. Our visit was made all the more special on the arrival of a surprise candlelit birthday cake! A great end to a lovely evening.Great atmosphere and lovely hearty food.What more could a birthday boy wish for?

what a restaurant choice there is in oxford however given time, dietary requirements etc i suggested côte to my friends we were not disappointed - they have never failed to impress and soooh consistent. menu, staff, quality and price. pretty impressive for a group that opened first in wimbledon 20 or so years ago ... whoever trains staff and especially chefs is to be congratulated!
