This is a HUGE new Canadian-owned beach bar that just opened during the summer of 2016. They have a very attractive layout, with swings, tables, "beach" seating area (sand, but not really on the beach) and a stereo system that can probably be heard all the way to Cabarete. Having passed by it many times, I was perplexed that there are not more clients there. So, I tried it out with some friends. Not surprisingly, the drinks are weak and overpriced. However, I was expecting that given the facility. What I didn't expect is their insistence on charging a 30% tax on all checks, even when you are paying cash! Anyone who has spent any time at all around Las Terrenas knows you have to pay this tax when paying with credit cards, however, it is virtually never applied to "cash" customers. The bottom line is that not only are the drink prices higher than just about anywhere else in town, by the time you get your bill they are even 30% higher than the posted price! No wonder the place is empty...

My wife and me were at that place in August. We ordered (I would say) crunchy vegetable Rolls with topping of mahi mahi and a Kind of fried rice with Shrimps. In both dishes you were able to see the fusion between asian and dominician kitchen in a very creative way. The Food was very delicious. I was totally satisfied. We also had a delicious Cocktail ginola Mojito. Tasty .... The only negative aspect was the small size of portion. Maybe next Time a little Bit bigger:-)

We have spent two great evenings in Soho enjoying their great hospitality and delicious food. First evening we ordered starters only: Chicken Wings and Fish and Chips. Both were extraordinary delicious and portions were big. We got service in english. It was very positive that waitresses who were not speaking english were still checking that we have all we need and food is according our expectations. Interior is very cozy and place is clean. In our 2nd visit we ordered two different kind of pastas and food was just amazing. Service equally good as first time we visited in Soho.Strong recommendation to visit during your stay in Las Terrenas.

We ordered several appetizers including the lobster with ham and croquettes. The lobster was chewy and dry. The chicken croquettes were okay, but the seafood croquettes were ICE COLD. When we inquired about it the waitress said she can warm them up, not replace them with another order, but literally microwave them. The shrimp pasta was okay, and the tuna Tataki was okay as well, although the rice that came with it was dry and undercooked. The wine we ordered was great. I’m not sure where all these great reviews are coming from, maybe it was an off night, but it did seems wierd that the restaurant was practically empty.
