Good restaurant with a typical menu, very friendly staff once we got over the fact that I wasn't french, as I speak Italian with a French accent. Very clean . Very affordable. Restaurant was full and they were doing a roaring trade in take away. Seems to say it all really.

Small family-owned and managed restaurant just off the piazza, very close to the beautiful Medici bridge in Ponte a Cappiano. Booking is strongly recommended. I ate here for lunch and for dinner (opens at 8PM). It is not a restaurant, it is a truly osteria. This is the place for proper, real, local food. At lunch 3 pasta/soup choices and 3 meat/fish choices + desserts, at dinner 1 antipasto toscano (very yummy and rich starter), 3 pasta/soup choices, 4 meat/fish choices + desserts.A special merit goes to the very good pasta. A lot of restaurants use precooked pasta. Here you will eat the real thing! And note the difference!The soups are delicious! I never ordered wine, so I don't know about it.So, lovely meals and a nice surprise with the bill...

Modugno was hands down the best meal we had on our week long stay we had in the area. We were greeted warmly by the waitress and were impressed by the lovely decor and feel of the place. Although the menu was in italian the chef came out and was wonderful in trying to translate everything off of the menu into english, and spent at least 20 mins of his own time doing this. The food was exceptional especially the salmon starter and the calzone for the main course, the best i've ever tasted. All in all a fantastic restaurant and we would definitely go again.

Not the best sushi and pretty forgettable.The restaurant looked classy from outside and there was a woman dressed up like in a traditional Japanese outfit so that was nice, there was barely anyone in the restaurant, the manager was a nice guy, menu needs to be better, the pages were falling apart not much variety to choose from the menu. Compared to the sushis I've had from other countries this those not hit the top list for me at all. All in all it was alright nothing special for me. I chose this restaurant for the ratings on trip advisor and it was not up to my expectations except for the decor.

Excellent place quite difficult to find. But once found you are welcome by charismatic owner who will make you feel like you are the Client he had waited for years.Food (seafood) excellent. From starters, through seafood pasta and risotto to fried frutti di mare.Large garden, fresh air, lovely time.Will come back for sure!
