Modugno was hands down the best meal we had on our week long stay we had in the area. We were greeted warmly by the waitress and were impressed by the lovely decor and feel of the place. Although the menu was in italian the chef came out and was wonderful in trying to translate everything off of the menu into english, and spent at least 20 mins of his own time doing this. The food was exceptional especially the salmon starter and the calzone for the main course, the best i've ever tasted. All in all a fantastic restaurant and we would definitely go again.

We actually found this place by mistake while looking for another restaurant after a trip to Pisa. No atmosphere and on a traffic circle, we received a warm welcome and were the first diners (just 8:00 in an country that eats at 9:00-10:00).We started with a shared fruit del mer and carne antipasti and were surprised at the size of the carne board that arrived--mounds of prosciutto, salami, and parma ham plus a few I-don't-know-whats. This then was followed by a cheese boards and breads (Parmesan regiano and a local cheese). Then came a board of pickled vegetables, olives, and asparagus. As enough was not enough a large bowl of baby octopus on crustini under ragu was joined by sardines stuffed with spinach, Groan. Quite enough for four as an entree.Our entrees of varied pasta or fish were all delightful and thankfully not American supersized.The wine list was quite nice and featured some nice local wines.

The restaurant is nicely located close to a small lake. Very quiet surroundings, Fishermen trying to catch seatrout and carps. The restaurant serves local food with very good taste. Recommeded is fish/seafood as starter and or main menue. Vine selection very nice. From Spring to Autumn you may like to seat outside on a new constructed terasse. Also washrooms and kitchen are very new. Staff is very helpfull and friendy.Overall highly recommended.

Great restaurant tucked away in Bientina Toscana nice place overlooking a man made lake.We had dinner there on a Monday the food was mouth watering.We had some lovely pasta with shellfish my friend had some delicious ravioli and the Frittto misto was superb.We then had a Fiorentina , a fillet and fresh fish all cooked to perfection.We opted for their local wine by the carafe which was from a Montalbano winery quite good.Desserts were amazing , service 100% the owner who is of Corsican origin takes pride in her work and really takes care of her clients.Grazie di Cuore!!!

Excellent place quite difficult to find. But once found you are welcome by charismatic owner who will make you feel like you are the Client he had waited for years.Food (seafood) excellent. From starters, through seafood pasta and risotto to fried frutti di mare.Large garden, fresh air, lovely time.Will come back for sure!

On this Wednesday which is a very important holiday in Florence, friends who live in this area took us for lunch. It is gorgeous! The atmosphere set on top of a breezy small mountain with scenic views and charming tables all outside made for a perfect setting to escape the confusion of the city and step back and enjoy the quiet of this locale. AND, the food. ....not only was it prepared perfectly but presented in a way that made you think you were in a very fine dining venue...which we were! We loved this day, this restaurant and the staff, everything about it. To get there...well, it is not hard with a car of course, and the town of Buti and the surrounding area are well worth an entire day. We did not see any tourists whatsoever but the staff spoke English this I know for sure. If you are driving just follow signs towards Pisa and then to Buti and then onto this restaurant. You will be happy you did.

Beautiful location a short walk from the centre of Vicopisano. Menu is in Italian but owner is helpful with a translation book and advice. Food was incredible.
