Where to eat Soups food in Cork: The Best Restaurants and Bars

February 6, 2020 Milan Banda

Discover Restaurants offering the best Soups food in Cork, Province of Munster, Ireland. Plan to cross many bridges when in Cork. Ireland's third-largest city began life as an island and now spans both banks of the River Lee, with watery channels running beneath some of its main thoroughfares. The best way to experience this hilly southern seaport is on foot, following the signposted walking tour past St. Finn Barre's Cathedral and the riverside quadrangle of University College up the hill to red and white Shandon Church. Along the way, you'll meet plenty of the city's talkative residents.

My, son and is wife were home for a visit from Peru recently so on the way back from Kinsale we said we would drop into the Workshop for somethingto eat,but it was 4-45 and we did not realise they closed at 5 so all foofd was finished which was a pity so we decided to have coffee and cakes instead.the food menu looked great so it was a pity that we were late. This is a most pevculiar place with all the bric and brack being served with old silver teapots little teapots for peppermint tea etc.The cakes were superb all homemade id say they were so good that my son called again next day to buy some for a takeaway as we were to late again for food. The staff were so friendlywhich was a plus and service was excellenti certainly will be back to try their menu. This is a little gem in the wild Use your gps as its hard to explain the situation but its on the back road from Togher to the halfway its worth a visit

Seek out the Farmgate on the second floor of the English Market for a satisfying and wholesome lunch. Homemade everything! My husband and I agree the seafood chowder is the best we’ve ever had in our travels around the world. We recommend the “casual “ side of the restaurant for its great soups and sandwiches. The chowder is huge and comes with an amazing side of brown bread - amazing in its full, rich taste with not a bit of dryness. Highly recommended.

Me and Becky stopped here for, what we hoped was, the whole evening however they have a one drink policy unless you buy their overpriced food. This is the most unwelcoming place me and Becky have encountered, definitely in Cork, also in Eire, hands down worse then in Northern Island and possibly in the 50 odd places me and Becky have been fortunate enough to visit
