The very good is about the young waitress who with her colleague anticipated what we needed . Food wise , although l loved the presentation , everything was rather overcooked and particularly the lamb roast and accompanying veg . Sure this will be resolved soon if enough of us again give this place a go after so many managements .

Sitting out enjoying some autumnal sunshine looking over the fast-flowing river Dee was a delight. However we sat inside in the original bar room with a blazing range; cosy and atmospheric. We enjoyed devilled kidneys and fish cakes from the light bite menu, and I also had some very tasty oysters. Looking forward to returning for a full evening meal. Only reason I didn’t award 5stars is I’d like to see how it rates for dinner on a busy night. Do go though, the refurb has been sympathetically done and there can’t be many other pubs with such a lovely setting .Hi there,Thank you for your recent review, we're delighted that you enjoyed your experience and like the refurb. We're keeping everything crossed that we get 5 stars on your evening visit.

Everland Fish Bar

Not used to using chippy restaurants I was unsure what to expect here and was very impressed with the format and indeed the food. The whole establishment was spotlessly clean, and the expected smell of oil/fried food nonexistent. The staff were lovely, service immediate, and the food bettered what I had imagined or expected. OK : it's not the Savoy, it was never going to be, but I certainly did not expect sauces/gravys to be served in ramekins with the mains. For value for money, quality, speed of service, cleanliness and price (£14, family of four) I dare you to find better for a quick lunch in Wrexham. Well done - we will certainly see you again.
