Fantastic setting overlooking the main harbour but food average at best and staff confused - I donât speak Spanish so I know I have no legs to stand on but this is an international resort and surely someone could speak reasonable English or am I being too harsh?I complained about the food and was offered a free pudding which is a nice touch but then they brought the wrong desert.The house red wine was undrinkable, so I left it, which is very unusual for me.One to avoid in my humble opinion.

The place is perfectly located right in front of the harbor, taxis spot, etc... I tried their pizza one evening after eating fish for 4 days straight. The dough was frozen boxed like and the pizza tasted pretty bland, also expensive for what it was... About $38 dollars. The rest of the experience was ok, atmosphere was nice and they had an OK selection of beers.

I got to Puerto Ayora a bit before my hostel would let me check in, so I headed down the main street and found The Rock. I was mostly thirsty and had a very tasty beer plus I had the octopus. So many times, octopus or pulpo is over battered and overcooked, but not here! lightly cooked in olive oil with a touch of garlic, it was delicious! Hey the beer was pretty tasty too!

It's always safe to order the fish that they have lying in front of the stalls. I ordered the octopus once and was convinced that it wasn't fresh. Some of the guys working there can also be quite rude. But reasonable prices for the Galapagos.

I stopped in here for an afternoon beer, having just eaten lunch up the street, I didn't eat, but did drink a beer here. Really nice local place, beautiful flowers along the roof of the building, nice folks. While I didn't eat, I did have a chance to see some of the plates being served. Their presentation was nice and the smell made me wish I hadn't already eaten! I will likely be back!

Affordable chef cuisine (30$ a complete meal) enhancing surprising local products (yuka, guayaba,..). Good tip : you can grab wonderful sandwiches for 7$ if you want to eat cheaper but with nice taste !

The interior design (not to mention the view from the pool by night) was just the right setting for a memorable dining experience. All courses, from entré to dessert, were nothing short to perfect: very creative dishes with a local touch, but above all, with fresh, flawless combination of flavors. And all that topped by excellent service. In short, a night to remember in years to come!
