We could not imagine that there can be some many creative ways to match baccalà (salted codfish) with such a variety of products, and especially that it can be so tender and not too salty. The chef, who treated us with great hospitality and attention, explained that not only he carefully selects the prime materials - the fish, but he also chooses the parts of baccalà according to the use he will make of it in the kitchen. We tried baccalà with peach jam and balsamic vinegar, with traditional tortelli with sweet ricotta, with bell peppers and what not! It's not easy to make a dinner from only one product, so that it doesn't feel boring but surely Lu Mmascarone are great at it. One can also order other fish there, but I would surely advice it to baccalà lovers. As the conversation was about wines, the Chef was very kind to just offer us a bottle of wine to try. The food is excellent, but maybe the most impressive thing about Lu Mmascarone for us was their warmth and hospitality.

the place was beautiful, elegant and welcoming but of course the best thing was the fresh fish food. I asked for an aperitif. The dishes were delicious, the waitresses were friendly and the price paid was right for the quality. I would recommend everyone to go.

This is the third review I am writing for this restaurant over three years, it's the first time I've been since September 2013.I love the atmosphere. It's a little formal but not at all stuffy, you really feel like you are having a full dining experience. We (two of us) dined and arrived at 20.15, left at 22.25. We had just antipasti and a main but the pace of the service meant that it was a leisurely affair, and the service was spot on, not intrusive or overly officious. The head waiter has been there for all three years and I believe the kitchen is the same team, or at least led by the same head chef. Great retention so must be a good place to work too.We had the classic hot antipasti....a plate of smoked salmon, langoustine and shrimp with calamari salad. Next a delicately cooked little flat fish. Followed by a delicious bean and squid broth...difficult to describe but I'll be trying to replicate it. Then classic grilled calamari along with some prawns and polenta. Think I've forgotten one...can't remember.We then shared a baked John Dorey cooked with thinly sliced potatoes, olives and tomatoes....perfectly cooked and a good portion size.We had two bottles of water, the waitress chose a bottle of pecorino for us and two coffees and for 74 Euros...or 37 Euros a head.Still great and I'll be making it my regular.

With some reluctance we accepted an invitation to dine at OISHI. Although fish lovers, we have always preferred it well cooked and have avoided sushi. Well, after trying a variety of dishes - including some that did contain some cooked fish -I can honestly say that we were overwhelmed with the taste experience and really LOVED it. It was delightful to watch the chef creating his works of art and, as others have said, the service and setting are excellent. If anyone is wary of trying Japanese fusion, please don't be - it really is wonderful! Oh, and the fresh edamame beans are to die for!
