So sorry to say this but we were there last summer with some friends. We all apreciate good food and a nice atmosphere. The teracce overlooks the parking lot, the service was rude and unexperienced and the food wasn't something to write home about...

This restaurant is a bit out of town, near the E313 motorway. It has plenty of parking space. The food is very good. The potato croquettes however are too salty to be nice so order fries or something else in stead.

The Square is a big brasserie with excellent food and a professional staff. In summer it is nice sitting outside on the terrace to enjoy the sun. The glass panel will make sure you won't be bothered by the passing cars. You can come here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a small snack or just for drinks. The Square has it all. You can eat a simple salad of a pasta dish, but also enjoy asparagus (in season), lobster of oysters.Prices are reasonable and the portions are really big and presented in a lovely way. After a meal here, you definitely won't get hungry. Be warned though, this place can get crowded, so reservation is recommended, especially in the evening. Waiting times can be a bit long also.

I had cod in a creamy sauce with shrimps and my husband had pork with mushroomsauce. We both received a large portion and it tasted very good. The waiter was very friendly. As the restarant was completely full, I recommend you make a reservation

We visited Anne-Sophie & her team often in De Kwizien and we were very pleased to experience them doing their own project. And a very nice experience it was! Good symbiosis of kitchen and service. We had the 8-course menu and to be honest, we were sorry not to have taken the 12 courses... because we would have loved to be pleased 4 times more! The kitchen really did a great effort creating all these nice dishes. And theyâve only been open little more than half a year! Curious to see where this could lead them. Also a thumbs up for the maître de service and sommelier Daan who really kept a good overall view and who was perfectly into pace with the kitchen. Served, in his own style, his wines with good knowledge and flair. Canât wait to be back in Hasselt for a second visit!Keep up the good work!!

This is a wonderfull place to have a culinary travel around the world. The servant tells and sells you wines as if she has cultivated them herself. The food is prepared by a humble chef with a great heart for his profession. A discovery as we seldomly find them. Highly recommended.

The only difference to the nearby "Lunch Garden" self-service restaurant is (1) the table service by very friendly staff, (2) the interior decoration and (3) the bill (which is about 3x higher), for the same food on your plate.The spare ribs where from 'den Aldi', steaks were grilled too long (they mixed up our order) and coffee is served without sugar or anything (which they apparently forgot).We will certainly never ever return.Overpriced. Underdelivered.Too bad.

Vriendelijk ontvangen. We kregen dadelijk de menukaart om onze keuze te maken. Het duurde wel even vooraleer ze onze keuze kwamen opnemen. Het eten was superlekker en de porties meer dan dan genoeg. Het is er fijn en aangenaam om te zitten. Je merkt wel dat er jobstudenten aan het werk zijn zonder ervaring in de horeca vb. ze komen het dessert of de koffie opnemen maar ruimen de tafel niet af. We komen hier zeker terug.
