Bei meinem Ausflug mit der Waldbahn hatte ich mir vorgenommen in Bad Tabarz eine Essenspause zu machen und kam zufällig ins Laternchen. Naja, geht schon. Das Bier kommt aus der Rhön und das Essen ist okay. Man kann hier essen - das war es dann aber auch.

We enjoyed this nicely decorated, casual, bistro type restaurant with its relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine was excellent and offered a great range of nice, tasty, fresh dishes served by a very friendly team. Also good selection of drinks and nice wines.There was nothing to complain about ! Should we get the opportunity, we would definitely go there again!

We sat on the terrace and were treated to very attentive service. The large sampler platter of starters was excellent! The flavors were complex and everything was especially fresh and delicious. The waiter suggested we switch from our retsina to a northern Greek Chardoney and we were not disappointed. The main course fish platter was fresh and delicious as well. This is a busy place so you might want to reserve especially if you want to sit outside.
