We walked through a lifeless empty bar to get to the restaurant upstairs. The restaurant is quirky with sand on the floor (don't wear your best footwear!). It's primarily a burger restaurant so perhaps we made the mistake of ordering some items other than burgers. The fries that came out as an appetizer were superb and that's what I'm giving the stars for....My wife ordered the tuna burger and it was odd to say the least. It was a medium/rare fillet of tuna on a black (charcoal) bun, the tuna didn't taste too fresh either, like it had been frozen. A fillet of tuna like that might be fine on a normal dish but not as a burger. My son had a beef burger which he said was good. I had a lamb ragu and spaghetti and it was awful, essentially pasata in pasta - boring and totally bland. The other 2 pasta dishes we ordered was bland and the other one was basically spaghetti with chicken with large doses of soy sauce - very strange and way too salty.I'd recommend just sticking to the beef burgers only at this place based on experience...

Why didn't we find this place earlier? Excellent wine, simple food cooked really well. The cheesecake is an absolute must have treat. The staff are all eager to please. We chose to have the last night of our holiday here after visiting twice previously and it didn't disappoint. An amazing night drinking fine wine with wonderful people. A memory I will treasure always and for that I thank you. David & Joannie
