As of 2016, the population was 13,304 and the land area of the city was 24.68 square kilometres (9.53 sq mi). Portage la Prairie is approximately 75 kilometres (47 mi) west of Winnipeg, along the Trans-Canada Highway (exactly between the provincial boundaries of Saskatchewan and Ontario), and sits on the Assiniboine River, which flooded the town persistently until a diversion channel north to Lake Manitoba (the Portage Diversion) was built to divert the flood waters. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie.

The food here is basic to say the least , mid priced and the service isnât the best but the worst thing about eating here is feeling pressured into tipping at the end of your meal ! Now Iâm not against tipping staff but itâs supposed to be for good service and you donât get it here . The last time I ate here my bill came to $32 and I paid with a $50 , the waitress who had barely spoken to me said do you want your change.....$18 ???? Domino's is a family favorite in our house. Everyone really enjoys the thin crust options, particularly the ham and pineapple and meat lover's options. A current promotion allows for you to have any pizza, any toppings for $12.99, which is a great value. Staff are always friendly and courteous. Pizza's are usually ready for you in less than 20 minutes.

I had wings here a couple of times, I ordered the medium ones both times and was not disappointed. I have not tried the pizza at this Little Cesars but I am sure it is like all the rest decent pizza for the price.
