This restaurant is in a beautiful spot, overlooking the harbour and we had the most gorgeous lunch - eating Michelin quality standard food. We started with the meats and cheeses of Sardinia beautifully presented with a gorgeous 'chutney' -absolutely delicious. After that Monkfish with a pea confit foam and encrusted tuna with beetroot and creamy egg sauces were absolutely exquisite. The Vermentino wine, as per everywhere in Alghero was fabulous - there is a great cook in the kitchen here with a very deft touch and great skill.Bliss!

Oblong pizza! I know - beyond belief. Not round ones like usual. These are rectangular ones. Yes, straight-edged!!!What's the world coming to? It gets worse. They're for sharing and you choose your own topping and they serve them on a board with your topping on one bit and someone else's topping on a different bit. Even the wife went to pieces when our oblong pizza arrived and offered me some of her side. It was very good even though it had anchovies and capers and was a salty as the sea. She didn't spit mine out despite it having rocket leaves as a topping.An unassuming shop front but it leads to a huge seating area with a stage and live music. We weren't allowed in the main section and had to sit in the overflow area near the front door. Just as well as the 'turn' was murdering Beatles, Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan classics.The pizzas were very good despite having a straight-edge. Service was slow.It will never take off over here. We like our pizzas round. Imagine going in Pizza Express and finding oblong pizzas on the menu. Ha!What do you mean they already do them? Really? I'll get me coat.

11 in total joined for dinner consisting of 4 adults and 7 kids- all of us with varying taste desires. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all. The raw fish platter was amazing and the pizzas devoured by the kids. The staff were very friendly and organised. The restaurant is located on a very picturesque square hidden away from the main hustle and bustle of Alghero old town. Opposite the square is the opera theatre and you can here the music from inside.Next door to the restaurant is a craft beer type of bar which would be good for an after dinner drink if you didnât have 7 kids in tow.Will worth seeking out.

We have been coming to Alghero for 10 years and La Pergola is a lovely restaurant in a lovely location (by Maria Pia beach) with consistently very good food. We had the local specialty Paella. Our waiter Mattia needs a special mention for being so attentive. He also speaks very good English. Definitely a restaurant to visit in Alghero.

So good we broke the rules and went three times, everyone perfect. Lovely staff attentive pleasant. Food great, seafood speciality, I thought till I had the steak, probably one of the best I have had. Not expensive and the clientele was local always a good sign.

My family enjoyed a fantastic evening at Villa Sole.I chose the Fish Degustation Menu, which was delicious and good value for money.Ambiente of the restaurant is stylish, but relaxed.Service was extremely attentive and professional.Can highly recommend this place, although if you don't stay at the nearby hotel, it means a 5km drive outside Alghero.

We ordered 2 pizzas, carapace of homemade, white wine and 2 tiramisus. Honestly, it's our third trip to Italy this year (previously Roma, Venice and Milano) and it was the best culinary experience ever! Pizzas were delicious, wine really great and dessert the best we have ever ate, without this strange flavour of strong vodka in sponge cake. Moreover, service was great - waiter was pleasant and hospitable. We were feeling there like in the family home. We will come back there one more time during our stay in Alghero for sure! We recommend this place because they do their best as much as it's possible.Thank you!

For those who want to feel what the Italian spirit is all about in a typical pizzeria, this is the place. Plain, simple, itâs all about the food, a little talk and leaving in a great mood. Good pizzas, great desert and limoncellos âall finalleâ! Not expensive. Nice personnel and good service. Make sure you make a reservation before you show up.
