We dropped by for lunch, as suggested by our guide/driver Stefano Rossetti. The food is excellent. All genuine products. The waiters are friendly & efficient. Obviously, the menu is based on meat dishes, but they manage to accommodate vegetarians as well. No fish dishes in menu.After dinner, we walked around the agriturismo. There's an animal area, shops to sell their products, and a playing area for kids.It surely makes a nice day out on a Sunday morning at extremely reasonable price.

Era tanto tempo che sentivamo parlare molto bene di questo posto e alla fine abbiamo voluto provarlo in due diverse occasioni. Nella prima siamo andati con alcuni amici dove abbiamo provato la pizza (buonissima) e, invece la seconda volta per una cena in coppia dove abbiamo assaporato i primi piatti. Veramente eccellente. Il posto è molto caratteristico e accogliente, le cameriere molto simpatiche e professionali e il cuoco, Roberto, veramente un grande chef, con anni di esperienza, che prepara dei piatti fantastici, molto molto gustosi, creativi e scenografici. Consiglio a tutti di provare questa perla nascosta.

Having read the excellent reviews in Italian I was curious (as well as hungry!) to see whether the reality was as good as they said. Well I have to say it is all true: the service is excellent and super friendly, the dishes are wonderful, light and always with some touch that makes them out of the ordinary. The day we went there was a fixed menu and I was a bit concerned to hear there were two 'tasters' (assaggi) of pasta, thinking they would be really tiny portions - I needn't have worried. The first 'taster' was probably bigger than the average portion in most restaurants. More importantly however, the quality of everything is excellent. The only negative point? Well, the day we went there wasn't any cinghiale (wild boar) on the menu so I will just have to go back! Hopefully soon .......thank you so much!!!!!

very good raw and cooked seafood starters, the pacheri al nero di sepia with crispy bacon was wonderful, but the best was coda di rospo rolls with crispy bacon and topinambur purea. good wines, pleasent ambiance,where contemporary art meets culinar art , very good service, kind waiter and waitress.I fully recommend Mea mater. When in Velletri itâs a must!

Just put the address into your GPS and visit this fabulous restaurant. If possible go with a large group. I'll explain why soon. Firstly you'll find virtually only local Italians there - a great start. Secondly you will be astounded at the quality of the food. And finally you will be even more surprised by the moderate price - and the great atmosphere.This is NOT a fine dining destination - it's better! Our party was 16 in number, a mixture of English and Italian friends. Firstly plate after plate of excellent 'starters' were brought - they numbered 20 in all! Brilliant roast vegetables, local specialities, fish, etc etc, washed down with excellent local wine by the carafe, red and white, which kept reappearing as it vanished. We all thought that was it when the waiter offered us either a pizza or pasta to follow. Ignoring the menu, I asked him could he mske a porcini with Sicilian small tomato pizza. Of course! It was the best pizza I've ever eaten, hand made by a showman chef and baked in a wood-fired stone oven in classical Italian style.We're returning next year!

I was last night at this restaurant in Velletri, at the recommendation of a good friend,and I was not disappointed! Very friendly and polite staff!Sea ââappetizer, a culinary delight, very tasty spaghetti and a very large serving!Great pizza and delicious! The dessert "Caffe Glasse" was exceptional!Very fast and quality service! Very good price for a higher quality of food!We will come back for sure!

Here you are well taken care of from the gentle family. The food is mainly locally produced and gently prepared according to local tradition. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Here you find that little extra in terms of service. There are rooms to hire if you want to stay overnight. Good position with connection to Rome with commuter train and interesting excursion goals like "The gardens of Ninfa", "Castel Gandolfo" etcetera, in the neighbourhoad.Thank you very much!See you soon, bye!

We had to deliver a rented car at Ciampino airport but took the risk of taking lunch on a Saturday (family time) before. I can be brief:. The antipasti (no pasta this time for us) the secondi and the dolce were outstanding with a degree of originality which one at times misses, even in well-known restaurants in Italy. The service and the kitchen were up to an extraordinary standard of efficiency and the waiter remained pleasant and seemingly relaxed in a very full house. The detour to the outskirts of velletri was fully worth it.

Being there for a dinner with my family to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant offers in side or outside confortable place. Outside is a must during the summer. A concrete wood floor host you outside with tables placed around the perimeter of the square garden and table are protected by large umbrella for the sun or the humidity at the dinner. You can eat meat or fish plates all well prepared the cellar is provided with several good wine and we got bottles of 02 Wine produced by a local lazio cantina. I had fish served with julienne vegetables well presented and tasty.
