We decided to visit this restaurant when we went to Velletri to surprise a friend on his 50th birthday.The food certainly lived up to its reputation,the bean soup was fantastic, and the owner really made our evening a special one. Tremendous value for money,250 euros for 12 people including wine and beers! To top off the evening we managed to miss the last train, and were quite amazed when the owner not only offered but actually took us to Rome in his car.If you want great food at a low price go there, it is half hidden behind a petrol station but seek it out you won't be disappointed.
p.s. Our Italian friends have already been back!

Il peggior pranzo al volo dell’anno!
Sono io che volevo mangiare al volo non voi che andate di fretta!
Ordino MAKIMONO al tonno e gli dico di portarmela prima del riso alla cantonese e poi pollo in salsa di limone!
La ragazzetta giovanissima ordina e le aggiungo anche un acqua FRIZZANTE.
Esattamente dopo 4 minuti neanche 5 arriva tutto..
un disastro..
I MAKIMONO con l’alga che si staccava e tonno di colore ... mmm...mai rosa diciamo!!
Il riso insapore, buttato in un piatto fondo cosi a caso ed il pollo mezzo crudo, immerso in una gelatina al limone che fermi tutti!!!
Ovviamente l’acqua a contornare il tutto non arriva e quando la richiedo arriva Piccola e LISCIA... ma per concludere.. niente bicchiere, menomale le posate almeno, prese ovviamente dal tavolo accanto!
LASCIAMO STARE.. ora pago e vado via senza commenti perché ahimè conosco bene Gioia e mi meraviglio dell’accaduto...
Personale Presentazione e sapore del Cibo sono alla base della ristorazione, da sempre!

Just put the address into your GPS and visit this fabulous restaurant. If possible go with a large group. I'll explain why soon. Firstly you'll find virtually only local Italians there - a great start. Secondly you will be astounded at the quality of the food. And finally you will be even more surprised by the moderate price - and the great atmosphere.
This is NOT a fine dining destination - it's better! Our party was 16 in number, a mixture of English and Italian friends. Firstly plate after plate of excellent 'starters' were brought - they numbered 20 in all! Brilliant roast vegetables, local specialities, fish, etc etc, washed down with excellent local wine by the carafe, red and white, which kept reappearing as it vanished. We all thought that was it when the waiter offered us either a pizza or pasta to follow. Ignoring the menu, I asked him could he mske a porcini with Sicilian small tomato pizza. Of course! It was the best pizza I've ever eaten, hand made by a showman chef and baked in a wood-fired stone oven in classical Italian style.
We're returning next year!

La cosa che più resta impressa della cena è la straordinaria passione del gestore e la sua capacità di coinvolgerti nel suo mondo legato alla passione per il cibo e soprattutto il vino. Ovviamente come potevo non farmi consigliare su qualche vino particolare, ed infatti la scelta è caduta su uno splendido touriga nacional portoghese, un rosso che ha degnamente accompagnato una buona cena. Partiti molto bene con il loro antipasto misto che abbiamo apprezzato in tutte le sue portate, soprattutto il tortino al tartufo, per poi continuare con la fonduta di formaggio svizzero servita a tavola con la fiamma. Un po' cara per 14€ a persona ma ne vale la pena meglio ancora se siete più di 2 e potete dividerla ancora.
Consiglio del pane bruscato per accompagno, meglio del normale a mio parere, e di rifare la carta dei vini che appare un po' troppo modificata. Comunque si perdona tutto quando si viene serviti bene e con riguardo.
Rapporto qualità prezzo nella media.

We had to deliver a rented car at Ciampino airport but took the risk of taking lunch on a Saturday (family time) before. I can be brief:. The antipasti (no pasta this time for us) the secondi and the dolce were outstanding with a degree of originality which one at times misses, even in well-known restaurants in Italy. The service and the kitchen were up to an extraordinary standard of efficiency and the waiter remained pleasant and seemingly relaxed in a very full house. The detour to the outskirts of Velletri was fully worth it.

I was taken here by my Roman Family as a farewell Dinner.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the place lent itself to have easy conversation.
The owner very helpful and obliging.
We had a main meal each, and shared entrees and sweets plus wine and coffee and the price was most reasonable.
The food was Very Tasty, Fresh and Plentiful.
If you are looking for Typical, Good Quality Italian Fare you can't go past this establishment.

Il Rist. QuindiciDiciotto situato nei vicoli del centro di Velletri, offre una location deliziosa e Inaspettata.
Lo Chef Maicol molto attento nella cura dei dettagli, riesce a soddisfare i propri clienti con accostamenti sempre nuovi e molta creativa.

I am American (sono americana) and Mr. Bennys is the only authentic American restaurant in Italy. I love the pulled pork sandwhich, the pork ribs, and the thanksgiving Turkey!!!! If you only like Italian food, they have a wonderful lunch menu including primo, secondo, e contorno con acqua for 10 euro! I love Mr. Bennys!!!!!
