This restaurant is located at a semi-private beach with views to the sea and beautiful rock formations. The food is delicious and, at night, dinners are specially lovely given the setting.

Were able to grab a table for two amongst many reservations and waiting bigger groups (worth making a reservation). Octopus pasta was outstanding, chipotle-spiced pasta was good but not great. Choice of red wine by the glass of Chilean Carmenere or Italian Montepulciano; of which the montepulciano was nice if not slightly overpriced. Tiramisu dessert was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Who would have thought that you can get a great Italian meal in a small Mexican Village. Our first nigh there I had the gnocchi and my girlfriend had lasagna. The gnocchi were huge but very tender with a very flavorful Bolognese. I’m always cautious about ordering lasagna as it sometimes can have the size of a wedding cake and the density of clay. However, this serving was no more than 2 inches thick and very light. The combinations of meat, sauce and cheeses was perfect and very complimentary. All of the pastas are made on the premises and you can really taste the difference. Service is very good but if yiu sit on the second floor it may be a little slow but well worth the wait

I was GRANDPAcking in Zipolite for 6 weeks.I tried many of the restaurants and bars around town in that time.I ended up eating here on 3 occasions. The first time I ordered the most expensive salad on the menu for MXP90: it was pathetic ... a couple of lettuce leaves, some shredded beatroot, etc and a small piece of chicken the size of a has brown. The second time I ordered Fish Fillet: this was OK.The last time my friend ordered the Prawn meal for MXP180: it was pathetic ... half the plate was french fries and there were only 2 small prawns hiding under lumps of pineapple ... we sent it back. You get much better value for money down the Sal y Pimienta on the beach ... there you get a 5-6 king prawn meal for only MXP90.
