We had the whole menu set (30e each). Menu was really comprehensive. We got to taste real and local Italian food. That was actually my plan when I decided to travel to the countryside. Service was friendly and they were interested about us! Place was tidy and cozy! We will definetely visit again :)

Di questo passo non basteranno le 5 stelle su TripAdvisor! Domenica sera a base di Angus, eccellente, e il nuovo menù rispecchia la ricerca di Antonio verso prodotti qualitativamente superiori mantenendo la connotazione, secondo me vincente, di osteria. Servizio impeccabile, ospitalità da 1O !

The reservation was easy and could be done on the website. They had gluten free bread ready for my husband.There is a parking are next to the restaurant, so itâs comfortable to reach. Itâs in an old villa, with modern design. The entrance area and the garden are very stylish. Inside a very nice waitress welcomed us. She guided us in a separate dining room, which was heated. All the other roomsfelt ice cold. Our room was warmer, but it was still ways to cold for us. My feed were frozen to ice.We started the menu, which the waitress translated for us, with a starter.My choice was full of tiny fish bones. I was not happy with this, so the kitchen made another starter for me, which was nice.The starter of my husband, beef tatar, was very good and tasty.My main course, noodles with orange sauce and shellfish, were to salty for my taste. And some of the noodles were to hard. Not my taste.My husbands main course, lamb, was ok. But not more.The dessert, a hot chocolate cake was very good. The kitchen prepared a special dessert, gluten free, for my husband, which was very good.The aperitif, a sparkling vine was perfect. The white vines were to strong for my taste, but my husband liked them. And even the second greeting from the kitchen, Panna Cotta, was very good.For German standards the prices are fair for this stylish location. The food was half very good and half not so good. There for 3 stars. The service was excellent and fast.Gent.ma Sig.ra, abbia pazienza, questa volta abbiamo preferito accontentare suo marito. Se ci sarà una prossima volta accontenteremo anche Lei.Saluti

Italian culture accepts that you will find small children in restaurants in the evening. What is unacceptable is treating the dining room like a playroom. A group of children and parents were so loud that at times we could hardly speak.This was a great shame as the food was a good standard. My steak was excellent as was the Antipasto Vecchia Casa. However the evening was also spoilt by terribly slow service.I won't be returning.

Our stay here at IL Poggio Delle Rose has been brilliant. The room was spotless and the food was bellissimo. We have felt so warmly welcome by both Carmine and Anna and they where both very helpful with directing us to the right places to go during our stay. The view from the house was also great with Mount Vesuvius and also the city of Naples which was great this time of year as you could see fireworks in the distance. If I could rate more than 5 I would. Would recommend to anyone :)

Came across this restaurant last week while working in Italy. I do not speak Italian, and they didn't speak much English. But a fun and entertaining time was had trying to decide what food was available. Google translate did help when we did manage to get internet.The food was excellent, but the staff really make this a very special place that I will remember for a very long time. This restaurant is rated Number 2 of 3 in Taurano (Tripadvisor), but I dread to think what Number 3 must be like! The restaurant is spacious, clean and looks like it has been recently built/refurbished, but unfortunately the food doesnât match the environment. We ordered the mellanzane parmigiana as a starter and it came in 6 small jars and was quite bland. Three of us ordered steaks for our main course. The pepper steak was good - large and very tender - but the grilled steaks (rib-eyes) were indifferent. Mine was fine, but my colleague could only eat half of his - too much fat. My wife had the pork, which looked less-appetising than shoe leather and the taste matched the appearance. We didnât bother with a dessert. Altogether a very disappointing experience.

We found this place quite by accident on a road trip to visit the shrine of S. Philomena. The town was quite sparse considering the season. Only on other group was present.The wait staff and owner were very kind. There is really no set menu. They offer daily plates. The day we arrived, there were different plates that played with mushrooms and pork.We asked for the house red. They gave us a bottle from Puglia. I asked why, and they said that Napolitano wines are dry and many non-Napolitano guests don't really care for them. I was impressed by their consideration and the wine was delicious.We had a pasta plate and a meat plate. The servings are small, but absolutely delicious. Since the plates change constantly, I will not review each, but will offer some comments about the culinary skill. The pasta was perfect al dente. Each plate was presented as a medley of different flavors and each plate delivered. No one flavor out did the other. You could taste each ingredient and the combinations were very tasty.In the end, I was very grateful for their lovely atmosphere (minus the music that was a little loud and not exactly my taste) and gracious welcome. The service was impeccable. The Osteria is a perfect place for couples, groups of friends, and even big groups if you call ahead and make arrangements. If I go back to the shrine, I would certainly call ahead and arrange to do so at a time I could eat here.
