Figures first, as usual: total 35 EUR for 1 outstanding dinner for 1 person1 fish fillet over artichokes sauce (filetto di pesce con carciofi): 18 EUR1 mixed salad (generous serving): 3 EUR1 cheese pudding with pears sauce (budino di formaggio con pere): 8 EUR1 wine glass of local vines: 3 EUR1 large set of small house dessert (dolcetti della casa): complimentary1 bottle of mineral water sanpellegrino1 cover charge: 3 EURThe place at first sight looked to me a sad large room with little furniture and an internet radio making noise in the background. I was hungry and it was late, so II decided for the "prisoner of war code of conduct" that is provide only name, rank and service number if questioned and select only few healthy choices from the menu.So I choose the fish fillet and a simple salad... ...but when it was served it was love at the first bite ! And my perception of the place changed dramatically. The balance of taste between the steam-cooked fish and the artichokes was a real piece of art. I sent my first congratulations to the Chef.Then the mixed salad: very fresh and rich in vegetables came with companion bottles of excellent olive oil and aromatic vinegar.But my second congrats to the Chef was for the cheese pudding: ONCE AGAIN the combination and balance of taste of cheese and pears sauce was mind-blowing.Wine: I was poured a very generous glass of local white wine made with vines of san colombano trebbiano & malvasia. Astonishing quality for the price !Finally I want to mention the very nice service received with my waitress answering all my questions with details and being always present without being pressing. The final touch was the collection of micro-dessert she brought them to my table after I asked for the bill and for free.So what could improved ? well...let me think...may be just the radio...

I've eaten here a few times and for a casual restaurant their dishes are 5-star quality! The pizza is excellent and the pasta/meat/seafood dishes are truly gourmet cuisine. Their ingredients are fresh and the chef has a creative flair that shows through. The service is impeccable, their waiters are professional and friendly. The reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is the ambience. This restaurant is located in I believe what was once the horse stables of a large estate of one of the area's ancient noble families. The main dining room is expansive with high ceilings. Although well furnished and pleasant I feel it's a bit cold and impersonal. The lighting should be warmer, perhaps some candles on the table, some nice jazz music in the background could make the atmosphere more intimate. There is a smaller adjacent dining room for those ordering full meals (not pizza) and it's much cozier. There's a fireplace in this room with a couch in front and is the perfect dining experience for chilly evenings. The restaurant also has other rooms and outdoor spaces where they host banquets, weddings and other events. All in all, highly recommendable for the excellent food!

We stopped into this great restaurant without a reservation on our way to do some ceramic shopping. We spent several hours here enjoying the multiple plates of fish, pasta and steak for lunch as well as some great red wine.Every thing they served was amazing and the service was equally as great! We were trying to find a particular store and one of the waiters went down the street to find someone who spoke good English for us and we eventually found our destination thanks to their assistance. After all of the food we ate, I still felt hungry and the food was cooked so perfectly.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante per Halloween e devo dire che siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Locale carino e personale gentilissimo, in special modo il proprietario che ci ha spiegato i piatti. Abbiamo preso antipasto misto di carne, molto buono e vario; lâantipasto di polpo, ottimo e poi un riso con anatra, a detta di chi lâha mangiato superlativo, il polpo, ed io ho preso il tonno, buono ma in certi punti era molto forte il sapore, non so da cosa è dipeso. Non mi ha convinto del tutto, comunque il giudizio rimane molto positivo. Abbiamo speso relativamente poco per lâottimo cibo, 25 euro a testa. Peomosso e ritorneremo presto.

Everything was delicious from starters to desserts, passing by the wine; we had a quiet corner on the porch outside, on what was the old stables of the building: very suggestive! Staff was utterly professional and price reasonable. I surely recommend this place to anyone willing to have a true Tuscan meal! :)

I wanted to try a new restaurant and the as always I trusted the review of this web site, so I booked a table for 4 to celebrate the purchase of my new home!This restaurant opened recently by a restoration of an old country house bringing back the old glow while incorporating some modern details. The staff was cordial, except for the end of the meal where they were purposely (I suppose) trying to get us to notice with some noise while pretending to clean the tables near us, that the restaurant was about to close, we were the last table. We stayed that late because we had really a good time, the company was excellent and the food was simply delightful. We had the mix seafood starter, which consist of a variety of small hot dishes and a big tray of raw goodies from the sea.We then ordered 4 pasta dishes that were good as well, and we had the Tarte Tatin for dessert.I will definitely go back hoping they will keep up the good work!

We stopped here for lunch with friends. This is their favorite lunch spot. You order up front from items scrawled on the wall or notes. Their is a big variety of meats, pasta and vegetables. Everything was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. Not sure if any spoke English. And I had my first tripe here, which was quite good!

This is a little restaurant located in one of the best wineries in hills above Florence. The food is spectacular and the wines are excellent. You will find yourself buying several bottles before you leave along with some of the best olive oil available. Sincere and friendly service top off a great meal. So glad we came

What can I say, the food was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend Ciborgo highly enough! The quality of the seafood which just melted in your mouth and the dishes were well presented. It's hard to pick a favourite! I think We were in a group of 8 people and the service was impeccable. The sommelier was quite knowledgeable and recommended cracker of a white wine to accompany the seafood dishes.
