Pleasant stay, great location
Reviewed By Dave RStayed for two nights as we wanted somewhere close to Florence (20 minutes on the train, frequent service, €7 each way). About 10 minutes walk to Montelupo and the station. Once we had managed the challenge of the car park(!), we were treated to a warm welcome and a comfortable, clean room. Nice breakfast, albeit with a not very wide choice, the owners were very helpful with train times and restaurant recommendations.

PODERE CASALONE is a very old farmhouse, recently restructured by our family with great care, in full respect of the typical Tuscan architectural style.It is situated in one of the most fascinating areas in the Tuscan countryside.The farm is located on a green hill called MONTALBANO, surrounded by olive groves, vineyeards and woods.At the farmhouse PODERE CASALONE you will find 10 apartments; each one can accommodate from 2 to 4 persons.Every apartment has been restored maintaining some “pieces” of history of the ancient house and every apartment is unique and different from the others. During the restoration, we decided for example to maintain the old stairs made by stone (a particolar kind of stone which is called “pietra serena”) and a lot of details of the original construction.Every apartment has got its own heating control and you can find in every apartment a fully fitted kitchen, towels and linen. Amazing property

Romina was very nice and provided us with all the local information on events and also took time to provide me with locations where to eat gluten free. The house we stayed in was clean and beautiful, surrounded by a beautiful garden and hills of grapes and olive trees. The swimming pool was great and we also use the bbq facilities to entertain friends! Thank you for your hospitality.

This year our rental car broke down but they couldn’t have been more helpful in helping us contact the company and solving the issue for us.They even drove us back to the airport to get a new rental car! So friendly and helpful! Truely wonderful friends!

Thanks to its position the camping area give to you the opputrunity to reach the most important cities of Tuscany. we are far to florence about 25km. et a km. 10 to Vinci .our mobil homes are confortables houses with air conditioned they have 2 dedrooms, the kitchen , the bathroom with shower and a veranda

Reviewed By Karlijn78First, the camping itself: small, cozy, situated in beautiful nature and run by a friendly family. The food in the restaurant may be a little overprized for the amount you get, but the taste is good. And every day a different selection of homemade desserts to choose from. The swimming pool is very nice and cleaned daily. Depth main pool 1.10m - 1.40m; depth toddler pool: 60cm. Around the pool plenty of chairs, beds and umbrellas and trees for some shade. Next to the pool there is a tiny tiny playground (for the little ones under 4yr) and a reasonably sized soccer field (ball can be borrowed from reception). When we arrived the animation team had just left, but we heard that they were pretty amateuristic, nothing major and certainly no loud music way after children bedtime. We experienced this camping as really quiet (enjoyed it), but I'm not sure if that was due to the fact that main season was already coming to an end..... Secondly the rental accomodation. I'm less positive here. We stayed in a mobile home (casa mobili). They come with a nice veranda, which is a plus. And the bathroom unit is brand new. Another plus. And it's clean and everything works. Other than that the interior is old. One migth call it retro style, which is all fine with me, but don't expect any luxury or comfortness. My feedback to the camping owners: make the cushions fit on the bench around the table. Now they are way bigger than the bench itself, which makes them fall off all the time when you sit on it. A big nuisance. Apart from that the two single beds really need to be replaced. There is no sleepcomfort whatsoever on those beds. The double bed slept fine, though. For guests to be it is good to know that the casa mobili doesn't come with any houshold equipment like toiletpaper, soap, a rubbish bin, dishwashing liquid, a tea towel, dishwashing brush or cloth to wipe the kitchen/table clean with. This meant we had to go back down the hill straight after we arrived.

Il titolare è una persona molto gentile e riservata, è stato carino a farci trovare l'appartamento fresco di condizionatore al nostro arrivo. L'appartamento è dotato di tutto, molto funzionale e molto spazioso. La piscina è molto pulita ed è stata la nostra salvezza in questi pomeriggi afosi di agosto. Si trova in un punto strategico per poter fare escursioni nelle città circostanti. Consigliato !

Situated in a little village, Capraia Fiorentina, is close to the famouse city of art Florence, in this village you'll find this warm appartment.I can rent this appartment also for some days, just ask me!With a classic Toscany garden and next to a little church, it's a perfect place where to relax and at the same time have some excursions.Close to the river Arno and to many other famouse city, this village it's perfect to discover a lot of different places here in Toscany: Pisa (40 min. train far), San Gimignano (40 min car far), Siena ( 1 hour train far), Montespertoli (20 min bike far), Prato, Garfagnana, seeside and montain 1 hour far. As you can immagine it's in the middle of everythingl but to be sure Look it up in google map!This appartment is close to the train station too, about 2 min walk!There are many trains to Florence and it took 15 min to arrive to destination.If you arrive in the morning we'll offer you some breakfast or if you arrive in the afternoon/evening a nice tipical dinner.In the house there is everything you need, and we live close to it so that we can always help. We speak English and Spanish very well, don't panic.I can organize wonderfull turistic guide in Pisa and in Florence with 2 great patented guides, with fairy prices.I can organize little excuritions and visit to farmhouse and famouse Chianti wineyard.Ask me for pics of my appartment, I'll be glad to send them.I can pick you up at the Pisa airport and bring you back! Reviewed By elodie066Le Piagge guest house is located in the picturesque hilltop village of Capraia e Limite five minutes walk over the windy bridge from the little town of Montelupo elevated above the river Arno. The guest house, which is attached to a small church, is set in pretty, well kept gardens behind locked gates. The garden apartment is spacious and airy with paintings on the walls and a small kitchen fully equipped with a cooker, a fridge freezer, a microwave, toaster and an electric kettle. I cooked several meals there in spite of the limited space. You will find the COOP supermarket over the bridge then turn right again over the second bridge when you reach the square in Montelupo. There's also the Fuligni supermarket if you turn right when you leave the house and proceed in the opposite direction rrom the bridge for about 15 minutes walk. The apartment is clean and shining. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and is a wonderful retreat to return to after a hard day touring the sights in Florence, Pisa, Sienna and Lucca. All of these towns can be reached by train in nearby Montelupo. Florence is only 20-25 minutes, Siena, about an hour, Pisa 45 minutes and Lucca one hour (where you can visit the great opera composer Puccini's house) Train fares are very reasonable. For example just over three euros single to Florence. We were picked up at Florence airport by Brenda who is a charming delightful person. She is very helpful and obliging and speaks excellent English. If you need anything just text or ring her and she will help you. Her parents live in the apartment above and although they don't speak Engish they will help you with anything you need. We found them discreet, but friendly. There is no TV or radio but there are good Wifi connections. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to going back again. Thank you Brenda!!
