Forgiving the slight mix up over our reservation this was a tremendous evening out. John Dory was wonderful and my Amaretti Cake from the dessert trolley a revelation. Wonderful atmosphere, classic fine Italian menu and very good service. It is a bit traditional but if thatâs what you are after, this is a real treat. Going back soon, and, I suspect, so do a lot of people once theyâve discovered it.

A special celebration yesterday and we were looked after so well by Angelo, Ben and Katrina (plus the all important hidden talented team in the kitchen). An excellent evening with delicious food and wine. The quality and presentation of the dishes are what keep bringing us back. The menu has changed recently with some tweaks to the "classics" and as always there is a specials board. The ravioli fritti are superb with a little kick from the n'duja; it's an unusual addition but boy are they good! The fish dishes were succulent, full of flavour. Portion size is always good. Excellent wine list but do ask Angelo for advice/suggestions. We have never been disappointed.

Booked in advance on a Saturday evening, we were squeezed into a place where the waiters struggled to get by us.We were upstairs and there was a noisy table, and because of the acoustics, we could hardly hear our conversation.The food was average to poor (seabass very thin and not good), and when part of the desert was missing (no giant chocolate shavings on the chocolate brownie), it was very much a take it or leave it approach from the waiter. The second drink that I ordered never appeared, but they still tried to charge for it.An experience not to be repeated.

The food here is good as is the atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely, good quality and well presented. The pancakes were a delight too with an excellent selection of hot drinks and juices. The service we received from a young lad was very refreshing. A must place to visit....to relax, unwind and eat well.This is lovely to hear. Thank you for the taking the time to leave us this review. Having been in May and we were back in Reading, we felt another visit would be nice and we were not disappointed, the bustling vibrant atmosphere is fantastic and the staff all extremely helpful, the wife enjoyed a huge grilled goats cheese served on rocket with sun dried tomatoes, I enjoyed the Frito misto , although more than 2 prawns would have been nice, Wife enjoyed a big bowl of pasta with pea, aubergine and sauce sauce for main, which was good, I stayed seafood and went for risotto, I felt the seafood selection could have been slightly better, some shell on clams would have been nice and maybe a few more prawns, and I did not get a seafood flavour through the rice, enjoyed it but could have been a bit tastier. We washed this down with 4 large Peroni at £6.75 each, perhaps a little steep for a bistro, but overall a good experience and would certainly revisit.

We have been here a few times now and the food and service always seems to get better. The staff are so very friendly and welcoming.The food is fantastic and well-presented, always cooked to perfection. It is nice to be able to enjoy your meal without staff hovering and waiting to take the plates away.Really excellent place to dine with family and friends. If you visiting in the area, or indeed live in Berkshire, then book a table and enjoy a magic evening.

Family meal, so we were quite a large group but service was as good as ever, very efficient and as always friendly.My pasta dish was generous to say the least and the garlic bread (as a side order) perfect.Wonderful open kitchen so you can see whatâs going on, the chefs work hard to ensure orders arrive promptly, but we never feel rushed.Deserving to be No 1 in the area here on Trip Advisor!
