Ondanks de niet zo positieve reacties toch maar eens wezen eten. Steak van mijn vrouw was prima, mijn Bolderburger matig. Burger was goed echter ik had het idee dat de verpakking nog onweer het broodje zat. Zeer moeilijk om doorheen te komen. Frites Ok, hetgeen op de burger zat (bacon, sausjes) heb ik vaak beter gehad.

Neem het 5 gangen menu en sta verrast van de smaken die voor je neus neergezet worden. Bijna iedere gang had ik de neiging om mijn bord af te likken, behalve bij de gepofte ui. Op de bodem lag zout :-).Prijs kwaliteit...wauw, gewoon echt een keer komen eten. Bediening is aardig, keuken goed en de prijs is top. Ik zie alleen maar voordelen!

What a nice discovery. After a soaking wet walk through the rain there was this great garden in the river foreland. It has several compartments, all different. Each with nice flowers, beautiful trees, convenient sitting areas. The tea and the beautiful pastries completed the paradise like setting. If you can walk well (1 km), go here. It's a great walk, with a great surprise.

Struggling to find a nice place to dine for a reasonable price in Arnhem, we ended up here. We were ok with the final outcome. Starter, vitello tonato was very good. Main, lamb stew, was a bit disappointing in overal presentation and composition, though satisfactory in taste. Desert was very much ok. Service is friendly and attentive. Setting a bit like a full service restaurant. Overall score 4-5 out of 5. So make it a 5.

My mentor Lee Kuan Yew, Prime Minister of Singapore for a great many decades (he passed away two years ago), was famous for his rather penetrating comments c.q. quotes. One of them: "It is only the less clever that never change their minds". That perfectly reflect my opinion re. De Ruif. Now to me the number one eatery at the Posbank by a mile. Earlier this week terrace open, spring sunshine galore. Hence, professional and attentive management.

Very friendly staffs, and nice food, good atmosphere. Due to unknown reason, the main course was served a little slow. Compared with the other Dutch restaurants which are normally not good enough for services, this restaurant is far more better. If you go to Arnhem, this restaurant is worthy to try.
