The city is the capital of Nakhon Sawan Province, and covers the complete subdistrict (tambon) Pak Nam Pho and parts of Khwae Yai, Nakhon Sawan Tok, Nakhon Sawan Ok and Wat Sai, all of Mueang Nakhon Sawan district. As of 2006 it has a population of 93,141. Nakhon Sawan is 238 km north of Bangkok.

Nice place with a few problems. Food is passable and not excellent. Staff are responsive, but there are too many of them standing and staring at you. Prices more expensive than similar places in Bangkok. Servings are very small. There were two families with bawling babies when I was there - just bad luck. Nice to try this place once, but no reason to go back.

This restaurant is a great find, but its 20 km out of town. I ordered the fish and chips 10/10 and a iced café latte 8/10. Total bill was 215 baht.Benny's is nicely decorated and clean, free good Wi-Fi and air conditioned, the menu is in thai but the tv screen displays menu choices in English.DO NOT follow the trip advisor map as its wrong. Excellent food can be found here and at a reasonable price.I ordered a Chicken Penang curry 10/10, 80 baht and a bowl of rice, very tasty but very spicy.The restaurant has air con and good free Wi-Fi, there is also an outdoor area. Opens 11am and located behind a café 15.706543, 100.141189
