Having spent six years living in Hemer in the past , this was actually the first time I had actually been in for a meal but had heard good things from locals in the past. We visited on a warm Sunday evening and could have dined al fresco if we had wished but chose to dine indoors in the large airy restraunt. The Jagerof is family owned and the level of service was good. The menu is mainly meat based and there is a wide selection of dishes from plain steaks to speciality Balkan . However, if you are a veggy you have a choice of about 3! .... well this is Germany. Some parts of the menu are 'Complete ' meaning you get a starter salad your main course and also a small sweet and overall you get value for money. While not full the place was busy and looking at the Car Plates most were local so that says a lot .

My husband, two children and I had dinner at Olckenturm with my husband's German colleague and his wife. We were greeted in both German and English by the young waitress, who also gave us English menus and helped to explain the dishes. Initially we were seated outdoors, which was pleasant, though the bugs were a nuisance. However, we moved indoors as a thunderstorm settled in. The restaurant is actually built into part of the old city wall, which was pretty cool. It was not very busy (we were there on a weeknight), and we had very attentive service. Our dinners were all fairly traditional German meals--quite heavy, and a bit saltier than we prefer. More vegetables and some lighter options would have been nice, but I suspect on a cold winter's night, this fare would really hit the spot!All in all, a good experience.

For more than 10 years that I'm visiting this restaurant say, at least 3-4 times a year.Usually I go with a group of colleagues, especially when we have international meetings at the headquarters of the company we all work for, located in Iserlohn.The menu focus a lot on meat dishes, very well cooked and served by a professional staff. A few fish dishes are also available.The salad buffet is also sufficient as a side dish to the main course.I personally recommend onion soup as a starter, followed by one of the delicious lamb dishes.Typical "alt" beer from North-Rhein Westfalia is also a good suggestion.The wine list is fair and suitable to cover the whole menu.

Le Marron is located in a small event center, including a bowling place and tennis club, which makes it kind of a strange atmosphere. We tested cordon blue, and the dish was large and had excellent taste. The croquettes served aside were not home made though.
