Discover Restaurants offering the best Indian food in Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Home to the oldest university in Germany, Heidelberg was hit hard during 17th-century wars and rebuilt in the 18th century with baroque buildings. For a pleasant walk, stroll through the historic city center's Gothic streets. Be sure to take in Heidelberg Castle, the symbolic heart of the city; Alte Brucke, a beautiful 18th-century bridge; and the Student Jail. Built as long ago as the 16th century, it was used to keep mischievous students off the streets for three days to a month at a time. And they say Penn State is the number-one party school!

Nice ambience and well decorated restaurant. Our first visit to an Indian restaurant outside of England. However the Indian dishes were very mild in comparison to Indian restaurants in the UK, on that basis the food is only 3/5. Friendly and attentive waiting staff.

Whilst staying in Heidelberg in Oct attending the DTM at Hockenheim we ate at this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews as it was spur of the moment decision.Thee were 3 of us, from Ireland in our 40âs and 50âs and were greeted warmly by the staff. Nice décor, seating and atmosphere, nice table at the back of the restaurant as we arrived late around 21.00 ish. Menu is good, service was good but maybe a wee tiny bit slow between courses but worth waiting forâ¦â¦the food was really good, well cooked, fresh and fantastic spices. Relaxing place, good quality and value and yes we would definitely go back.

This restaurant is in Heidelbergâs alt statdt and around 10 minutes walking distance away from Bergbahn. There is another restaurant by the same name at Mittelbadgasse which is better. Only if you do not find a place there you should visit this restaurant.Menu has a wide variety. Food quality is little above average at a very reasonable price. We ordered pakoras as starter, salted lassi as drink, dal, malai kofta and a paneer dish as main dishes. Our request for replacing rice with Naan as accompaniment was readily accepted. We also ordered additional garlic naan and stuffed naan. Malai kofta was a disappointment though. Malai kofta is mostly served in red curry which tastes awesome. Very very few restaurant serves in white curry. This restaurant was one of those few. Menu did not have indication of type of curry. We are not fan of white curry which is heavier and tastes very sweet as compared to red one. We would not have ordered at all if we were pre-warned. Staff was very friendly and service was very quick & warm.
