taking advantage of the early hours offer we had a wonderful meal, the staff were very friendly and attentive and we liked it so much that we returned a week later and it was just as good. The only downside is access if you can't manage stairs as there are quite a few t get up to the restaurant

situated on the Main Street in Carrick on Shannon, the Himalayan is known for its food quality and value. It does a steady trade throughout the week and particularly busy at weekends. It also does a busy "Take Away" business.First First appearances can be poor, but once you go in the foof quality makes up for this bigtime

We had a wonderful tasty takeaway from the Shamrat. Served by a helpful friendly waiter and all three of us can heartily recommend the dishes we ordered. One shared starter, a spicy chicken jalfrezi, A lamb rogan josh and a special Shamrat curry, nicely cooked naan bread and a Bombay potato. Delicious.
