I am here in the area for a four day visit. On my first day of visit I came in to the restaurant and no one greeted me or asked me if I wanted to sit down and eat. After searching for some staff and no response-I left. The next day I came back -the same treatment. The waiters were rushing around and virtually looked right through me. Not a greeting or any recognition or help.So today the third day I went up to the manager sitting at the desk and explained that I would like to eat there but the staff seems not to care about a solo traveler. He apologized and said that they had been very busy. He took my order and told me to sit down. I received my salad but my main order never came. I asked my waiter to check into it and another 20 minutes passed with no food. I went back up to the manager and he was slightly apologetic. He went to the kitchen and said that my order had not been placed. After already being there an hour I wasnât in the mood to wait longer. I told him I wanted to pay my bill. Under the circumstances I wouldâve hoped that he would have said it was complementary or at least a discount. But nothing. There were TripAdvisor award signs everywhere around the restaurant. From my perspective they are just resting on their laurels. I wouldnât advise going there unless you are staying at the hotel. Or if you are a party of four or more âperhaps they will pay attention to you.

Walking through the Kausani Market amidst drizzle, the road for the view of Himalayas led us to this place. This restaurant gave us a wonderful view of the Himalayas while the staffs were busy catering to our hunger pangs! The food is highly priced as per the portions served although it was not extraordinarily good. The ambience, the decor and the view of the Panchachuli peaks are perhaps the reason they attract the tourists much than their food.

This is a small restaurant in Kausani, India serving delicious Indian vegetarian cuisine. I was there very recently and think a great tip for anyone visiting.

it is located in the market & is 2 km away from TRH Kasauni. they serve only veg food .apart from breakfst , lunch & dinner snacks are also available.we went for lunch after reading great reviews on trip advisor but were hugely disappointed with the food served.even the boiled rice were undercooked & rajma was flavourless.we ordered the local dish - moolee ka thechua which again tasted very bland . the food is made fresh but contributes to very slow service TIP - the taste is very bland for Indian palate.It is better to stick to simple fare served in the restaurants wherever you are staying in Kausani

The restaurant located on the ground floor of the eponymous hotel is ideal for travellers looking for a break and a good hot meal. Though we arrived a little after lunch hours and the restaurant was running short on manpower, they did serve up an excellent meal in a short time. As most of the items we requested off the menu were not available due to the aforesaid problems, we requested the waiter to bring us whatever was available. The food was absolutely excellent and fresh. The restaurant has outdoor seating with a view of the river and the hills and is ideal for a quick stop on a long journey.To top it all, it was extremely reasonable. A meal for two cost a total of INR 300.
