The temple complex is situated on the confluence of river Saryu and Gomti at Bageshwar. As I have said in the title of my review, it is like any other Hindu place of worship, mismanaged and dirty. The Mandir complex was built by Chand dynasty rulers in 15 th century. Here Lord Shiva is worshiped in form of a tiger.
The five star rating of the place is for it's historical value and for the ruling deity Lord Shiva else the place deserve no more than two star.

Located approx 50 km north of Almora, Kausani tea estate is on the way to Bageshwar. Not big tea state as that of Darjeeling or Assam, it very nice to see these undulated tea plantations. Quite refreshing. You can also see the sunrise ans sunset from Kausani.

Lovely trek in the midst of nature. We thoroughly enjoyed trekking upto the zero point. The place is untouched by commercialization . The only sound is the chirping of birds. A small tea stall at the top could have been really helpful.

Gauri Udiyar is a place of natural beauty , spiritual peace and divine spirit !
It has a very large natural cave called 'Gauri Maa Temple'.
All the craft and the cave itself is naturally created by dev shilpi Vishwakrama.
As per an old saying , during Shiva-Parvati marriage all goddess were stay there for rest in between.
So we can evidence of the natural art of artistic nature , how beautifully it is crafted the full picture of Shiva-Parvati marriage over there .
Maa's Doli , wedding gifts and very other things, we can't imagine even.
In this temple, there is a very narrow cave , which is known as linked till Kailash .
Natural fresh water in KUND is hotter in winters and chilled in summer days ! another surprising magic of nature.
Many saints and yogis from India and abroad have arrived and stay here for meditation for years.
This is such a divine place to experience nature's beauty and divine spirit .
A must place to visit in Bageshwar !

A narrow steep lane from the main road takes you there. A non descript place. The house is well maintained by a care taker. Very few visitors would be there. The guide (free of charge) will take you through the history. The sharp eyes of this poet and devotion he had is quite inspiring. Especially after the visit from Gandhi and Lakshmi ashram, you feel Kasauni is a gifted place. Post the visit you would be wondering why no noise is made for this person who is immensely talented.
