After our darshan in Badrinath temple we had lunch at Saket restaurant. The food was just wow.Onion kupchak was awesome.Paneer bhurjo,Dal and mixed veg were great.Lovely food.would definitely recommend others to dine here.And icing on the cake was sheer.It was really delicious.Dear Ms Riddhi,Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you!We are extremely humbled and delighted to know that you loved all our preparations. Tripadvisor portal shows only one restaurant in Joshimath. Though there are not many stand-alone restaurants in Joshimath none of them seems to be of good quality as far as taste of food, hygiene and cleanliness are concerned. This is despite the fact that Joshimath is starting point for several attractions and treks. There are dining halls in some hotels but these were not functional when we visited Joshimath in August 2017. Auli D serves both Non-veg and veg food. The interior decoration suggests that it had started with high aspirations but rest of the things suggest that it got derailed somewhere. We were not satisfied with quality of food, hygiene and cleanliness. Other restaurants that we tried were not any exception.

Tipped by our driver, we visited this restaurant for dinner. We were warmly welcomed. The place was neat and clean. It is near to the temple on the road. Price was average and so was taste. Next day found Saket, another restaurant.
