Awful food! I ordered a pizza, of which I managed two slices. Tasteless, with a soggy base. My husband ordered bangers and mash with a mushroom sauce. How can you get bangers and mash wrong?? It was tasteless and porridge like. Couldn't find the bangers in the porridge. Will give this restaurant a miss!

On our way through the Drakensberg Montains this delightful restaurant took our fancy for breakfast. Very healthy choice of food nicely prepared and a little gift shop to boot!We bought a gorgeous book illustrating the areas we had visited and the photographs are a constant reminder of what a beautiful area this is.Good place too stop on route for a light bite

We dropped in for a light bite at lunchtime - what a lovely place. A nice selection of gifts, cakes, chutneys for sale as well as being a great place for lunch. We had the quiches (both of them!) and they were really tasty. It’s a popular place for a good reason - great ambience, lovely Gardens, great food.

We had such a lovely evening. When we arrived they were experiencing a power outage but they still managed to supply an excellent meal of chicken livers, chicken, steak and salad. All really tasty. The darkness added to the ambience as did the thunderstorm. 5minutes after leaving I realized I’d left my earrings on the table, rushed back to retrieve them and they were no where to be found and no one had seen them. Our table had been cleared but no earrings had been found. Ruined the entire night.

We loved the setting , the drinks and the (amazing ) food. Unfortunately what ruined it for us was I ordered the muffin, cream cheese and biltong. The dish was beautiful but my wife overheard the waitress asking the (I presume) owner for money to buy the biltong as I presume they had ran out. Any 'boss' who expects her staff to address her as 'Ms' instead of by her name looses it for me sorry. I wouldn't be back as it stinks of outdated snobbyishness! Maybe it's a culture thing I don't get but it put me off!

Arrived for an early lunch and walked around the Centre with its put-put golf course, nursery, waffle hut, pizza stall and Weavers shop. Not much going on in Weavers on a Sunday but interesting gifts, candles and rungs. The pizza's are very good and one can buy craft "Rawdons" beer at the same stall.

The food was made with freshly prepared veggies from their garden. Delicious! Imported Thai beer was on offer which finished the meal off. they also have hand woven carpets and candles for sale in their small gallery.

I stopped for a light lunch. The informal ambience is pleasant but I was rather dissappointed in my choice for lunch, the thai chicken pie. It consisted of diced pieces of white chicken meat in a curry sauce served between two pieces of flaky pastry. The meat itself was quite dry although the sauce was tasty. I wondered whether the meat had been precooked and added to the sauce just before serving. The bases of the pastry were hard. Served with straw-sized potato chips

During our recent stay at the Drakensberg Sun ( 26 November – 3 December 2016) my husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having lunch and a snack at the Lakeview restaurant. The restaurant has been revamped and boasts a modern and fresh interior.
On our first visit my husband had his institutional scones and enjoyed every bite of the freshly baked scones. I had my institutional Mojito and enjoyed each blissful sip. I had the savoury beef Quesadillas which consisted of flour tortillas stuffed with minced meat, tomato, union, chutney and smoked cheese. It was served with a side salad of rocket, tomato, cucumber and sour cream and guacamole. I thoroughly enjoyed every delicious bite. The portion was very generous.
On our next lunch the wood fire pizzas came highly recommended by the friendly manager. My husband had the Tropicale and I had the Carne pizza. The crisp thin base with a generous amount of topping was just perfect and definitlely some of the very best pizzas we ever had. Nothing bland here.
Another lazy afternoon and we found ourselves back at the veranda for lunch. My husband had a Tropicale pizza again. I ordered a prawn cocktail. The presentation had a modern twist to an old classic. It was simply fantastic. To round up our meal my husband had a Belgian waffle. It was not only beautifully presented but also delivered in taste.
Hat’s off to every single staff member. We were warmly and professionally greeted on each visit and they effortlessly assisted to create a special and memorable meal.
The breathtaking views of Champagne Castle from the veranda completed our exquisite meals at Lakeview restaurant.

Considering the prices of most B&B establishments in the area, the Bridge Lodge offers modern, clean but simple rooms at reasonable rates. The separate bar and restaurant offer good food at reasonable prices so would recommend this establishment as a quick stop over for business or holiday
