Professional waiters. Friendly. Ordered tenderloin but got entrecôte. However so good that I chose not to mention it. Starter capaccio with the best mushrooms I've ever had. Grissini from Italy very good. Parmesan on the capaccio. I recommend changing to Parmaggio. The local beer was good. However the 1/2 l wine Figuero 12 was exquisite. For dessert the local strong flavored thin sliced cheese satisfied an already satisfied palette accompanied by an port wine taste-alike, but far better local dessert wine. All in all a quite, or should one say, an extra ordinary experience...

las raciones son como para dos personas, juraito!, lo que probé de pulpo a la gallega, chipirones fritos y merluza en tacos, estaba todo riquisimo. El personal es atento. El sitio es corriente y se escuchan muchos gritos desde la cocina. El dueño toma nota sin enseñar la carta pero esto no importó al final porque es barato.

I'm from Puerto Rico and know a lot about Caribbean cuisine. I can assure you that Hatuey is authentic and good quality Cuban food. I went there with no expectations during a trip to Gran Canaria. I was happily impressed with the variety of dishes at the buffet and the service. The server was a Cuban woman who treated us very nicely. I specially enjoyed the ropa vieja and the plátano maduro (sweet plantain). The arroz congrí was also very good. I only tried the dulce de tomate and the torrejas for dessert. They were both very good. If you're into Caribbean food, this is the place in Gran Canaria.

I went here and at first glance it seemed quite impressive. However the wine I was offered first was not very good, so had to change. Also it's not the best fillet steak I've ever had. In fact to describe as fillet is misleading. Maybe it's just the standard of restaurants in the area.

For a change we ventured further afield for lunch. Having parked conveniently across the road we entered the restaurant whose inside has several small separate dining areas with a rustic wooden ceiling which gives a cosy atmosphere. The tables were carefully laid for lunch. The staff were courteous and attentive. Both the grilled fish and the steak were cooked exactly as requested; accompanied by vegetables with a crisp texture, the meals were a delight. A selection of desserts tempted my wife! On leaving the dining room as I was slightly unwell (nothing to do with the meal) the waiter came to ask if I felt better - I appreciated his concern. The food and ambience are ideal for special occasions or a private meal.

What a surprise. Weary after shopping we flopped into Il Mondo. We didn’t expect the food to be anything special. How wrong we were. The food, lasagne and pizza, was amazing. So well cooked, piping hot and tasty. The wine, rosado was so good. The waiters were cheerful, helpful and polite. And.... the bill was pleasingly low. Great experience.

Specialists in grill foods; beefs, t-bones, etc., but all so home made starters and main courses (croquettes, lasagne, gout stew and rabbit in his own souse, pork rips and much more) !! Famous home made deserts: cheese cake, american cookies, lemon cake, pasion fruit cake, polvito uruguayo and the last but not the most important, dolce late desert !!! We stayed in ‘Elba Vecindario hotel’ and went to this restaurant for diner (300 meters from the hotel).
We made a reservation due to the fact that the restaurant was full during lunch. After arrival our table was ready and the welcome was friendly. We ordered a local specialty platter and for main course the lamb chops and langoustine. The food was excellent, good wine, good athmosphere and very friendly staff.
For sure a next time we will eat here again!

This is the place to eat local dishes plus the usual pizza, burger, filled rolls. The best coffee always a full cup and hot. Very friendly staff always very pleased to welcome you, language not a problem.

After a couple of weeks out of Mexico. I really needed Mexican food. I got a recommendation about this place... it was just incredible. I really loved the food, there is Mexican cooking the food and i got super hot sauce. Moreover, They have real Mexican beer (negra modelo)
