I love when I am totally surprised by food. A friend had recommended it. We arrived too early for lunch so were given the breakfast menu. I ordered the pancakes which were by far the best pancakes I'd ever eaten. The orange butter totally made the dish. I'm looking forward to coming back for lunch!

Only 30 minutes away from home in Toronto, we have Uxbridge. An old but picturesque town and, in the "old quarter" it's located this fine restaurant. For Sunday brunch the average price per plate is about $15. Dinner is more expensive. Nice atmosphere, the waiters were very kind and the food was very good. It really worth the visit. And the apple crunch with ice cream is delicious !

Lunch specials, excellent choices from the menu, good value, fresh ingredients. We've ben coming here since it opened. Try to have one new dish every time and we've never had a dish we wouldn't order again. It makes it difficult sometimes, but we are assured of a great meal every time.

B&L is a very popular "greasy spoon" in Uxbridge. It serves your typical breakfasts made up of bacon and eggs, western sandwiches, omelettes etc. Lunch is much the same along with burgers and sandwiches. The food is average and the portions are very large. The service is fast and coffee free flowing, which might explain its popularity with workers. The unfortunate thing is the eggs are served only one way...combination of steamed and fried...scrambled and poached are not options.

For the past 18 years the Hobby Horse Arms has been a family run business operating a Restaurant on two floors in a Provincially Designated Heritage Building. The main restaurant is as close as you will get to an English pub, without the travel. We have a large beautiful fireplace, sit down table service, extensive scotch and beer list, plus a full menu. Our food is prepared in house for your dining pleasure & food restrictions. A highlight of the Hobby Horse Arms is our patio and Gardens. A backdrop to many weddings and social events, the Gardens in addition to being beautiful, also provide our kitchen with fresh herbs. Come to the Hobby Horse Arms for excellent service, ambiance and outstanding cuisine.

I visit my mil from out of town and been here a couple times. Food is outstanding and so is the service. One of the best places in Uxbridge !!!We thank you for your review. The Hobby Horse makes our food from scratch like you were at home & the difference from other restaurants in in the taste.

Went here for the first time after a recommendation and was not disappointed. We sat outside looking at the beautiful grounds which added to our afternoon spent there. I was told you can sit a long time chatting with friends which was true and nice to do. We had the omelette and salad and I had the Greek salad with chicken on top which was excellent! We will definitely be back!
