Great popcorn, semi-comfortable seats and so-so screen. It is close enough to walk to and it's not too crowded. Regular fils are a good bet, however, the screen size and audio quality don't bode well for a big action film if you are looking for a truly immersive experience. Regardless, I will still see plenty of movies there and the price is better than the big chains.

It's my favourite, but my wife prefers the Elgin Blonde. Good selection of craft beers, reasonable prices. Beers are typically named after local places or activities. Close to downtown Uxbridge and just across the tracks from the York Durham Railway station. Sunday mornings there is a farmers market in the parking lot. Nice patio to meet old and new friends.
It's not a restaurant and doesn't pretend to be, although there are relationships with local restaurants for onsite deliveries.

A small yet beautiful mausoleum built in 18th century by Thomas Foster is a hidden gem and a must see historic site beautiful and very interesting. There is a donation of 5$ each for adults to take a brief tour of the grounds and inside. Travis gave a well detailed and interesting account of the history and it's architecture. Thanks.
The whole tour is good for about half an hour. The place looks like a church but now used for different functions too
Well recommended, and if you are in the area do take a tour of Lucy Maud Montgomery house of Anne of Green Gables fame just ahead on the same road.

Our site was the home of L.M. Montgomery, Canadian author best know for "Anne of Green Gables".She lived in North Uxbridge for 15 years from 1911 to 1926 and wrote half of her books here including a poetry book "The Watchmen". Come take a tour of both sites, watch our video or take in one of our many special events which include theatre all summer and luncheon teas. You will love your visit.

This was Maud's home in Ontario for 15 years where she lived as the bride of Ewan MacDonald and gave birth to her three boys( one was stillborn). One can tour both the. church and the beautifully restored manse across the road. A feature of the garden is a statue of Maud herself sitting on a bench, the only piece of public art in the Durham Region.

Nice trails with beautiful forest. Parking lot was busy but didn't see many people on the trails. Trails seem to be marked very well. Trail has uphill and downhill, very interesting hike.

Took my cousin for a true Canadian experience to the pumpkin patch, trator ride through the farm and picked up pure delicious Canadian honey from the farm shop~ Most friendly staff, lots to see, animals to feed, crafts & games for the little ones.....the best tasting local grown sweet pumpkin !!

Spent a Saturday late morning at Ski Lakeridge for a family tubing trip. Six runs is about $25 plus tax per person. Due to conditions (call ahead to check), the tube runs were very slow. Snow was melting with mild temperatures. It took us about 2 hours to go on 6 runs with all the walking from the bottom of the 25 story hill to the end of the run and around to wait in line to get towed back up the hill on our tubes. Staff told us as long as here is snow, they are open but as time went on, one tube run was closed due to conditions.
Staff were all very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. You can purchase food in the chalet as well as rent skis, boots, helmets and snow boards there to go on the ski hills. A fun, physical adventure outside great for families with kids over age 5 for tubes. Linking arms with up to 5 people in your group is fun to go down the hills too.

ust 1 hour from Toronto, this we came up to the farm for something fun and different to do a Sunday October Pumpkin weekend.
It's a family friendly farm, with animals (goats, boars, rabbits and some chickens? with a dog guarding them), wagon rides (to a place where there was sheep), and a HUGE corn field turned maze.
It seems like they create a new maze every year from the harvested crops, this year it was Heart and Stroke themed.
There are two mazes, and it took us probably at least 30mins to finish at a leisurely pace.
It was actually a good challenge, and a nice walk. I thought it would have been easier, but I guess using your gut isn't always the best strategy. I have a horrible sense of direction, and I think it was part of it.
Along they way, there were signs with Heart and Stroke trivia questions which will help point you to the right way, if you know the answer. If not, it provides a good reference tool to help eliminate the wrong choices.
There were some kids with their parents running around in there. Also be careful of hooligans throwing corn through the stalks. It seems really dangerous, and slightly annoying (you know who you are!), but a very good hiding spot to scare people for sure.
There's also a mini maze, which you have to figure out how to get through with No Left Turns. Easier said than done.
At the entrance, they sell market fresh produce, and at the back some baked goods. I think there is also pumpkin patch, but I'm not sure.
Admission is $8, and kids under 3 are free. Each $1 goes to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
We got here around 2:30pm and were done around 4:30pm. They close at 5pm.
Their event calendar is here: http://www.coopersfarm.c… and seems like they hold a NIGHT TIME full moon maze in early October. That sounds terrifying.
Fully recommended for kids and adults looking for something near the city to do. Will mostly come back next year!

Great outing with the kids and friends. 8 of us in total booked months in advance so we could all sit together on the train (Do book early the Santa Trains fill up really fast). We had a lot of fun on the train. Santa Claus, Mrs Claus, A Magician, Balloon Animals & live entertainment strolled through the cars. Afterwards all kids got a little gift bag full of goodies.
