Food was full of taste and service good. As it was very warm we ate outside. Wife is a Veggie (getting veggie food in Sweden is not always easy) and had a tofu red curry (good amount of tofu). I had a pad thai with loads of chicken.
Condiments are supplied if you wish to spice thing up a bit.
If you like Thai food,or just like food,I would thoroughly recommend.

First of all, the service was quite bad. Maybe they were stresses, but there were only about seven tables with people. The food was typical tasteless Nordic versions of chinese. The springroll was gross with ground beef! Tasteless. The chop suey de luxe was all but de luxe!! The best part was the location. Nice by the water and a playground for the kids. If I ever go back I will only have a beer. At least they can't screw that up.

Ett fint besök med rundvandring i den vackra parken på egen hand.
Därefter en utsökt guidning i Selmas vackra hus. Guiden berättade med inlevelse om Selma och hennes verk.
Det kostar en del men var verkligen värt pengarna.

The place is also a hotel, but we visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch Feb.2nd. The restaurant has a splendid view from the nice main room, they serve a standard menu with 1 fish and 1 meat dish, and of course potatoes, vegetables. etc. The exceptional price of SEK 149 (without beer/wine) did even include coffee and a piece of cake. The food was very tasty, and the lunch must be considered a real bargain.
However, we intended to book a table by e-mail (According to their homepage they recommend that) but were informed that we might come directly to them without problems. So we were rather disappointed by getting a very small table in a neighboring room where a family had left a large table , and the window were facing a spiral staircase, and despite there were many free tables in the dining room. Even when asking if we could change table, they were not willing to that. Because you pay your lunch before Seating we could not leave for another place, which we otherwise would have done.

Step into this diner and you are taken straight back to the 1950s. The interior decorations and colors are excellent. In one corner there's a jukebox adding to the rock 'n roll feeling.
On the menu you can find burgers, quesadilla, fajitas etc. The desserts are tempting as well as the delicious milkshakes .
The staff was very kind and could answer all our questions about intolerances and allergies. Everything could be served gluten free and/or lactose free! A true blessing for my family...
The only thing on the downside was the waiting. They must have been under staffed this day. Luckily our kids got their milkshakes right away and the food was delicious and so worth the wait!
I can recommend this place, but it was very busy, so it might be a good idea to book in advance.

Love and marriage, horse and carriage I can understand, but saffron and garlic? It's not an obvious combination, and it is not obvious why this particular cafe (it is more a cafe than a restaurant) thrives as it does. Other than the fact that it is physically linked to the town library, which is a social centre of sorts, and so benefits from a semi-captive audience. Think South Bank cafe (London), but smaller, and less diverse.
The dishes on offer are bland, more fuel then food, more assembled by numbers than created. On the positive side, the portions and prices are very reasonable.

What a view! short drive up the mountain but worth the drive. You can see several Swedish miles and much of the lake.
Take your picnic lunch, there are many places to sit down and rest during your view.
Also, climb the tower, the experience climbing those steps in itself is worth it.
Also, grab some ice cream and coffee at the shop.

The locals know about this one, but they don't seem to want to share it. I only found out about Mormors after interrogating a young person who lives in the area, and she only told me very reluctantly. A bit of a drive out of Sunne but worth it for the sundaes, the old-school class room decor and the lake views (which are quite beautiful). Watch self-hating Swedes pick their way painfully through the rocks, pretending to enjoy their day out. Think ''Festen, even though it is Danish. Then go for a walk, preferably with non-Swedes, and enjoy a piece of raw Värmland nature.
