Early December in dark, cold and very off-season Strömstad, is not the best option for a good lunch. But, honestly, Rökeriet did it. Rustic location and a friendly waiter added to the fish and seafood risotto. Good ingredients and the fish was actually perfectly cooked. Maybe a little on the salty side but definitely a nice one in Strömstad. Terrace in summer.

Located at the harbor with a view to the Koster boats it is very inviting. Colorful meny with asian crossover / fusion dishes both hot and mild. Complementary soup of the day also tasty. Cozy but a little tight Seating makes everyone a little closer to each other. Easy and OK service at the counter.

Maybe I've been lucky, but this place serves better beef and bernaise than many 5 star restaurants I've visited. Quality of food and service is far above what one should expect from a sports themed restaurant/bar. Warmly recommending this place.

We ate here yesterday at lunchtime. The pizzas were thin, crispy and tasty and very reasonably priced. The pesto and rocket salad that should have accompanied them never arrived though(despite it saying so on the menu).
The pasta with parma ham was good, not great. The aubergine and mozarella bake was very disappointing for 100kr; it was tiny in size and had only a few cubes of aubergine in it. The sauce was tasty, a bit salty for my liking, but that's just personal taste. For the amount of sauce, there should have been bread to soak it up. The restaurant has a mix of decor, one part has American diner type furniture and the other part at the front near the street has more traditional furniture. There is a nice, good-sized outside area for smokers or those wanting to eat outside on a nice day.

Recommended by every local we spoke to as #1 in Stromstad but it took us three nights to get a reservation. By the time we got there we weren't hungry enough for a full, big meal so we decided to split a pizza. The combinations were interesting and gourmetish but we just wanted something simple.

I have eaten at this restaurant at least 40 times. I live in Halden, Norway which is half an hour away. I drive 30 minutes gladly to eat here. I have eaten at all the pizza places in Stromstad. Buktens Pizzeria is also very good but in my opinion Stromstierna is the best. And there are several to choose from.

Went to Kaffetdoppet for brunch with my partner. We were a bit late for breakfast but I've had breakfast before and it's good and reasonably priced. But on this occasion we were a bit late so both had a ham and cheese quiche, it was perfect. I've also had a princess torte from here, very tasty. We will be back next year.

By far the best food we'be had in Strømstad. Went with family on a Saturday evening. Seated outside which is nice when the weather is good. We however found it too cold and moved inside. 3 adults had the Orient Special beef. VERY good, tender meat.One adult had chicken skewer, also juicy and delicious. All dishes prepared and served with fresh cut vegetables and a choice of either bulgur or fried slices of potatoes. Very good waiter who was very attendant. We will be back for sure, and highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited on a rainy day, so we couldn't sit outside in the beautiful garden. Inside is nice, nevertheless, but there is not much room, so it might be difficult to find somewhere to sit on a busy day. We were lucky, we got a table and it was a lovely place to have lunch.Quiet, no noisy music, and the food was so tasty! We decided upon a mushroom soup, it came with a small, very tasty bowl of salad as a "starter", then came the soup accompanied by lovely bread. So tasty! The coffee was also very, very good, the cake too. Really nice staff, also cater for vegetarians. I will definitely go there again next time I am in Stromstad.
