This place is big and so is its menu.
Their frontage is gelato heaven with around 48 flavours available. they are an italian restaurant with vegetarian & gluten free options. They make nearly all their own pasta. there is wood fired pizzas, kids menu and small indonesian menu.
there is a fully contained smoke free air conditioned dining room as well as inside dining and a garden dining area.
they bake their own bread daily and always give you a few slices with your dine in order but you can also purchase loaves to take away ( located on the back wall at the rear of the restaurant)
i have enjoyed their pizza ( 30cm approx $7AU) they do a big pizza for families starting from $13AU.
i love beef carpaccio ( says on menu it’s aussie grass fed ) and theirs is really good, their house made mozzarella is really good, as is their calamari ( very lightly coated) gnocchi and their calzone is huge for one person. you could order one with maybe a salad and it would feed two. i had the seafood one.
i enjoy their food so much it’s actually hard to stay away as i like to try other places and share my spending around a bit, but it’s hard as it’s so darn good.
if you want to do dinner i recommend you book or go for an early tea to avoid disappointment.
i can’t wait to take my husband ( the foodie) who wasn’t with me for this trip but i’ve been telling him all about it ( much to his disgust ; )
And as always i’ll comment on the toilets...as it says a lot about a place. i’m happy to say the toilets are nice and clean, with separate loos for ladies and gents.
highly recommended and i’ll be returning... probably tonight

We were picked up by their courtesy car which was a great start to our last evening together in Bali. I’m afraid it went down from there. We waited some time before we got menus for drinks or food as there was a large party in. Our food was disappointing anything with pork in was small and fatty and very bony although tasty. My duck was not crispy and also very bony but tasted delicious. The lobster was good as were the Prawn dishes but not the sensation we expected. Good selection of world wines and reasonably priced. The chef came out to see us which was a good touch and they did take some money off our bill because of the large table who were a bit noisy and the delayed service even though we did not ask for it. The staff are friendly and charming and if we were staying longer I would try again as I do think this was an off night. I’m sure they are much better.

This is one of the more up market restaurants in the TB strip. It almost reaches fine dining, but when the table next to us chn are dining of an evening their in their bathers it probably not fine dining.
It is a large room, huge ceiling, and quite large. Service was satisfactory whilst at times a tad slow. It has some good touches ie a bread basket, complementary mini entree, complimentary water and good cutlery’s but strangely no napkins.
The prices are moderately high to expensive I.e 50$ Aus with tax for a steak. We had the ox tail soup and bouillabaisse soup. Both were a small serve but flavoursome. Only down side was that they were served like warm.
For mains we had the duck breast and baby lamb rack. The lamb was cooked perfectly to medium rare as requested but the duck was a tad over. Both meals were good eating but both were served Luke warm.
Overall a good meal that was just a little too expensive for what we received.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, it was fantastic.
The venue is slightly up market with lovely table settings and comfortable chairs. The staff were extremely attentive and a special thank you to Ari who made our evening perfect. The menu selection is huge making choice difficult we ended up going with steak dishes. The Tenderloin I chose was cooked to perfection and the taste is better than I can get in Oz why?
There were 2 complementary starters again delicious.
Given the service, the menu and the quality the price was very reasonable
We will definitely go back

This restaurant is worth a detour. For the food of course but also the people.
So starting with the food, I ordered a Nasi Goreng (typical fried rice dish) which was prepared fresh within minutes. It was deliciously flavourful.
And because it’s holiday time, I ordered dessert too and chose banana fritters (once again cooked from fresh). The lovely surprise is that they weren’t greasy at all.
Putu, the owner, was amazingly entertaining, teaching me a few words of Balinese over a fresh cup of ginger tea along with his brother from another mother (sorry dear, I didn’t catch your name).
The Chef, Mudana, is Putu’s real brother. He has learnt his culinary skills in top Asian hotels. This was quite visible in the way the dishes were presented. He gave me a tour of his kitchen where he was getting ready for some Balinese cooking lessons the following morning.
A simple and heartwarming experience which ended up with Putu dropping me back to my hotel on his motorbike.
Thank you for your kindness.

Went here for breakfast this morning. Indoor Seating which is nice when it is this hot out.
I consider myself somewhat of an Eggs Benedict Connoisseur. I order it 99% of the time it is an option on the menu. I have been thinking long and hard since leaving the restaurant if I could think of a better eggs Benedict that I had had. I wanted to give it enough thought since I do not take what I am about to say lightly but "Dusk Blue has the best eggs Benedict I have ever had". The key to a good Benedict in my opinion all lies with an excellent hollandaise, and the shallot and tarragon hollandaise was tremendous.
My wife had scrambled eggs with a herbed Fetta and a spinach salad and she ate the entire thing, which is rare, as she is not a breakfast food fan. She also had a green juice. Our bill came to 177,870 idr with tax and service fee.
We have one more day in Sanur and I am already looking forward to tomorrows breakfast.

We were based in Sanur for 4 weeks and tried many restaurants, but this was the only one we went back to, many times. Inventive and varied menu which caters well for vegans as well as those, like me, with a gluten allergy. All ingredients obviously very fresh (which is more than can be said for many others in the area) and me and wife couldn’t fault it. Friendly staff, fascinating owner, cosy, and tastefully shabby decor. Take a selection of their cakes home with you, they are all ‘to die for’!
