We have had a lovely diner for two at Luna restaurant. As a starter we have had the local burata cheese with fresh home-made tomato tapenade and salad. Il locale, meritatamente rinomato, si dispone su due aree: uno spazioso salone interno, con vivaio di aragoste, vetrate ed eleganti arredi, l'altra direttamente sul mare, ombreggiata ed immersa nel giardino, in prossimita delle piscine. I titolari Claudio e Pervinca sanno fondere simpatia e professionalita, accolgono e seguono in modo accattivante e discreto i clienti. Nulla e lasciato al caso o preparato in serie: dal pane fatto in casa alle appetitose entrees, ai primi piatti di pasta casereccia, quasi "disegnati" in delicati piatti dalle forme originali ed armoniose. Ma, insieme a crostacei e frutti di mare, il pesce (sempre rigorosamente fresco, di pregio, assortito e nostrano, tranne ovviamente le ostriche!) e protagonista delle varie prelibatezze che vengono ogni volta preparate espressamente con cura e creativita da un'affiatata ed organizzata equipe. Il servizio ai tavoli e condotto da personale esperto e garbato che sa orientare anche la clientela piu esigente nella scelta (per altro ampia e davvero apprezzabile) dei vini e dei dessert.La struttura offre inoltre la possibilita di degustare Sushi preparato con il pesce nostrano .

Sadly it was too cold to eat on the terrasse- but we were given a great table inside. Fine dining and excellent service, although a little too formal and stiff for our liking. The most expensive meal and wine we had in our 3 weeks in Italy - but very enjoyable for our last and special night. My steak was delicious and tender, and OH's seaflood platter varied and beautifully presented and cooked.

We went with friends who we were staying with in Savona, they have been here several times and it's easy to see why. Everything about this wonderful restaurant is at the top end of the spectrum. Personal and knowledgeable service. A short menu that changes pretty much every day depending on what's around. Cuisine of such high order superlatives would not do it justice. Meticulous attention to detail, quality ingredients and a light touch with the preparation and cooking. By local standards it's not cheap and the portions are enough to satisfy without becoming overwhelming. All the food looks good as well when served. This is a place that deserves a visit whenever anyone is in the area or nearby. Make a point and reserve now.

I had a tonnata pizza and had dinner solo. The pizza was incredibly thin and tasted heavenly. Service was perfect and multilingual (i heard Italian, French and English). Pizza only (which is the name pf the restaurant) on menu so don't go there if you want anything else. Pizzas are made in traditional stone oven. Free wifi. Payment with cards available. I'll repeat myself: the pizza was absolutely outstanding! I loved the place and would both return and recommend it. I would also go there for a date and it definitively felt authentic.

No need to ask for a menu since this restaurant offers everyday dishes made from local ingredients and conveniently handwritten on an erasable sign.
You can choose between two different kinds of pasta: tagliatelle or ravioli, and there are others to accompany different dishes like “Branzino Al Forno,” bass prepared on the grill or in the oven, and there is also a filet of grouper with zucchini.
We asked for a local wine and had fondant chocolate mousse for dessert.

Very nice old elderly couple and I would have liked to support their business but the panissa Sandwich was simply horrible! I usually love panissa and I don't care if it's slices, cubes or fries cuts. It's simply divine! The panissa there was rather soft and has a terrible taste of rancid oil. The bread was a tasteless flat bun with no salt whatsoever. I didn't eat the whole thing but it talked to me all day + a taste of rancid oil in my mouth. It's simple: when you enter the place, first of all it reeks of French fry oil. The Sandwich tastes like the smell!

We thought that this was a delightful place in which to have a drink whilst spending a day in Savona. Obviously the drink was fine, but it is set in a terrific spot overlooking a small harbour for yachts and, to be honest, we could probably have spent a whole day just sitting there. I went to visit Ristorante Conca Verdre with my wife (who is a local) and 5 year old son . It is a very nice place to eat up the hills from Savona. You must drive. The Menu has a wonderful range. Pizza (thin base) , fish and pasta. We all had a selection of pizza, fish and pasta and could not fault any all very nice
Children are top of there agenda . On arrval they take childrens food order before anything else which is great. The staff were very good and also very nice I could not fault them in any way.
The one thing that I was unhappy about was the coperto charge. (cutlery service charge)
€3 per person including my 5 year old son ! Thats far to expensive . (€9 in total) This is Savona country side not Milan. This will stop Tips ! I will go back because the setting is very nice with a fantastic view of the reviera

If it happens you are in Savona and you want to try traditional Ligurian food, I recommend this simple restaurant. You can find a huge variety of typical courses..but their farinata is a must! It comes plain and with different toppings, such as sausage, gorgonzola cheese, speck and brie and many others. Even their focaccia (which they prepare by adding some potatoes in the dough) is special. The bill was a pleasant surprise: we paid around 16 Euros each for a full meal, wine included. The only drawback is that this restaurant is not located in the city center, and I'm afraid you need to get a car (or a cab) to reach it.
