We drove into Marugame Prefecture and TripAdvisor pointed us to this No.1 ranking restaurant.
The Oyadori (see attached English menu photo) should not be tried by anyone wearing denture, it's just too tough.
The Himadori, on the other hand, is really tender and less oily and less salty.
However after I have eaten, knowing what I now know, I would not have entered in the first place.

It's very good "Sanuki udon" restaurant. "Sanuki" means the old name of this region. The most popular dish is "Hiya-ten (Cold udon with tempra). The price is 972yen and it's quite reasonable price. It was very nice for us and we believe it suits your taste even if you haven't experienced Japanese udon. I recommend another kind of udon, Kama-ten(straight-from-the-pot udon with tempura). The price is same. You must be prepare for the line to eat because it is a very popular restaurant and you can't book the seat. Enjoy !

In the past this restaurant was considered a hidden treasure, but over time the quality had dropped to average. Tucked in a small building, there is little space to sit and eat. There are usually long lines waiting to be served, with very little shelter from the weather. When the noodles run out, the restaurant closes. This happened to me several times before I got to try the udon, which was fairly soft and had a soup that was primarily salty. A Kagawa resident, I have been to many small udon shops, but this is not one I will be returning to any time soon.

国道から路地へ入るので幾分分かりにくい場所にあります。駐車場も幾つかあり戸惑います。店内は雰囲気があります。うどんと汁は好みが分かれるところです。天ぷら類は豊富で、これだけ立派なものは他の店ではちょっと見かけませんし、カラッと良く揚げられて美味しい。

香川を代表するお菓子の一つ名物かまどさんのお店です‼
いろいろ黄身餡饅頭を食べましたが素朴で美味しい味。
形も独特で横に一文字のくぼみがあっていいデザインです。

JR八十場駅から徒歩で高照院天皇寺(白峰宮)へお詣りに行った際、天皇寺から更に西へ5分程歩いた所にある八十場の湧水を見に足を延ばしました。この八十場の湧水には1900年前の悪魚伝説が残っていて、悪魚退治に来た日本武尊と八十余名の兵士が悪魚の毒にやられた際に、ここから湧き出る清水で蘇生した事からこの清水を「弥蘇場の清水」と呼ぶ様になったそうです。八十場,八十八,弥蘇場と書いてすべて「やそば」と読むそうです。
今も湧き出る八十場の湧水のすぐ横には、江戸時代にこの場所で心太茶屋を始め、創業230年余りになる老舗清水屋があり、出来たてのところてんを落ち着いた雰囲気で頂く事が出来ます。酢,醤油味の八十八名物ところてん以外にも、くずもち風や尾張風、黒みつ味の浪速風などいくつかの味が選べます。ちなみにお店で使われているところてんを押し出す「天突き」は宮大工さんの手作りだそうです。
また道を挟んだ正面には店頭があり、お土産用のところてんも販売していて全国への発送も可能です。営業時間は9時から夏場は18時まで、10月以降は日暮れまでとなっていました。店頭の前には駐車場もあるので車でも大丈夫ですが、周辺の道が狭いので場所が少し分かりにくいかもしれません。

私は家でカレーを食べた次の日などにカレーうどんを食べていますが、これぞプロの料理ですね。満足できます。皆さんが言及されているように野菜がごろごろ入っています。うどん県民は野菜を食べることが少なくなる傾向があり気をつけないといけないのですが、このメニューはそれを助けてくれます。安くて美味しいです。このため、早朝から沢山の方が朝食を取られているようで賑わっています。（うどん県民が安いというときは、他県の方からすると相当に安いという事です。）お店の雰囲気も清潔感があり、駐車場も奥のものまで含めるとかなりあります。沢山の方が利用していても安心です。県民はうどんを食べるのが早いので、行列があってもすぐに食べられます。御安心を！！

たまたま地元のテレビ番組で紹介していたので、お店を訪れました。
坂出駅から自転車で10分くらいでした。
店内は広くて、休日のお昼時でも4人掛けの席で食事できました。
香川と言えば、ほとんどの観光客はうどん店を目指すせいでしょうか
さて、「本日の日替わりランチ」870円（限定70食）を注文したのですが、内容は極ハンバーグ、チキンカツ、サラダ、ご飯、味噌汁、漬物と盛りだくさん！
ハンバーグは、「肉汁日本一のハンバーグ」とのぼり旗にある通り、箸を入れたとたんあふれ出てきました！こんなに肉汁たっぷりなハンバーグは初めてで、びっくりしました。
さらに私はデザートまで注文。また行きたいお店です。
