Wonderful place for foreigners. Everything is very clean, food was delicious and safe to eat and all fruit juices are made with bottled filtered water. We had the Trucha a la Plancha and the Carne Apanada and was very good. Will definitely go back.

Rodizio Botafogo

Reviewed By Edney F - Santos, SP

By being a Brazilian and never been in Quito before, it is logic for someone to go in a place he/she would feel comfortable. I passed by in a taxi and found out it is 3 blocks away from Holiday Inn Express. I went walking and ate there. The Rodizio is nothing like the fency places that exist now a days in Brazil or USA. Because of that, the atmosphere is much more informal, which is good for lunch time. Brazilian music in the speakers all the time. I expected the owner to be Brazilian due to the details of the restaurant, like serving Cupim (Humpback) or chicken heart, tipycal for a Brazilian restaurant, but I was wrong. The tast of the meat is very good and the fried banana is amazing, very tasty. When I arrived there by noon sharp it was empty, but when I left at 1pm, place was packed.
I sure recommend for Brazilians, foreigners and locals going there. Take a moment to talk to Chef Richard Almeida, really courteous guy and eager to make you feel good. By talking to him, he let me know they also do barbecues upon request on customer's house or event, which is very original. By the way, they charge a honest price for a Rodizio and I don't think it is expensive.

This place is of cause for Ceviche. However, since it is far from the sea, so the main ingredient which is seafood is not fresh.
The test is okay, but seafood is disappointing.
I order the cevichon which have calm in it, and it smell bad...like almost go off already :(
