Cuneo (Italian) or Coni (French and Piedmontese) is a province in the southwest of the Piedmont region of Italy. To the west it borders on the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (departments of Alpes-Maritimes, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes). To the north it borders with the Metropolitan City of Turin. To the east it borders with the province of Asti. To the south it borders with the Ligurian provinces of Savona and Imperia. It is also known as La Provincia Granda, Piedmontese for "The Big Province", because it is the fourth largest province in Italy (following the provinces of Sassari, South Tyrol and Foggia) and the largest one in Piedmont. Briga Marittima and Tenda were part of this province before cession to France in 1947.

We were lucky to visit this place for the second time and look forward to coming back here again. The food is fantastic - light, sophisticated with a modern touch. The restaurant is located in a beautiful palace with high ceilings, frescoes and modern decor. You almost feel, that time stops here and your lunch lasts for hours with no desire to leave... definitely worth traveling from far away just for this experience.

Over the last few months I must have tried some 10 michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and this is certainly the best. The restaurant is quite simple and unassuming. But food and service are fantastic.
Davide Palluda is really nice and friendly and his cuisine is a perfect combination of creativity and sobriety. Piedmont roots are important, but not overwhelming.
This was the fifth or sixth time that I visited in the last five years and as high as my expectations are it never lets me down. Quite the opposite, always a surprising and gratifying experience.
In terms of value for money, this ranks amongst the top ten restaurants in the world.
If you happen to be in Piedmont or northern Italy, do not miss it.

Ate here with friends after Reading the reviews. Beautiful little restaurant, very Italian, great decor, warm and welcoming. Authentic Italian food and great local wine . Just sit back and let the waiters take care of you while you indulge in gorgeous hams and homemade pasta It’s a little pricier than other restaurants in the village but you get what you pay for.

Casa Baladin is a truly"atipical" beer restaurant with rooms. It is located in the central square of Piozzo, a small village situated in front of Langhe hills. The warm hospitality immediately welcomes those who decide to stay for the evening for a "beer dinner"(only Baladin beer are served...). Dinner at Casa Baladin is always a pleasant surprise. Chef Christian is always able to amaze his guests, often reinterpreting traditional dishes combined with our beers and using seasonal, possibly locally produced products.
Astonishing food and beer tasting menu in beautifully decorated restaurant and lounge with rooms above. We were the only couple dining and staying but the service was still excellent. Recommend the marinaded veal and the aged beer.

we have visited Piazza Duomo a few times - the cuisine is fabulous - beautifully delicate dishes served with respect and expertise. the menu incorporated stunning dishes with white truffles added at appropriate times. The wine list was extemporary - fabulous Italian wines. This visit was during the white truffle festival - what a great experience! The restaurant staff are so attentive, knowledgeable and delightful! The salad famous from Pizza Duomo is worth travelling from any area of the World! The hotel rooms are exquisite - beautifully simple and perfect! with a balcony overlooking the square. The chef Enrico Crippa is the most modest genius!!

After an entire day driving around on business, Il Bivio was a very unexpected surprise. The name Trattoria in Italian calls for something a bit more rustic, instead I found a delicate, charming setting, with candle lit tables and piano to accompany my night. The perfect place to unwind, eat delicious food, and be taken care of by the kind staff of the restaurant.
The meal started with two complementary entrees, showcasing the best ingredients of the region. Hazelnuts macaroon with local cheese cream is something I would never forget. Then for main, I had the local fresh pasta with ragu, simply delicious. There's something very special about fresh pasta, it tastes different and the sauce sticks better (ndr).
And of course, dessert: pannacotta with hazelnuts praline and berries. To die for!
Although, going back I would probably choose the local Fassona beef, I was incredibly happy with my dinner and I cannot wait to go back.
One piece of advice: don't go alone. I was there on business, and the setting definitely calls for someone to share the meal with. All in all, five stars!

A truly excellent meal. Impressively prepared for the eyes, the nose, and the tongue. Service is impeccable but not oppressive or intrusive. Wonderful atmosphere. Every dish was perfect. Recommend without the slightest of reservation whether you are staying at Palazzo Righini or not. Worth a trip for the dining experience.

We had a wonderful lunch at Al Moretto in August 2014. From the outside, you would never believe that this place is such a little gem... Once inside, you immediately feel comfortable. Decoration is cosy and delicate and everything is refined. Food is home-made, fresh and absolutely exquisite. Service is gentle and very efficient. This is a wonderful restaurant where family with children are welcome. We strongly recommend it to everyone !
