Really good pasta and pizza. Authentic Italian in style especially the pasta Carbonara. But 33 dollars was the cheapest wine - admittedly a nice chianti - is out of line here. The garlic bread was pretty good too. We would go again.

We had just arrived in San Juan late evening so first thing to do in am was find coffee of course. So wandering around town stopped at several places to try and buy a cup of joe to go to no avail. Then stumbled on the barrio which if Im correct means neighborhood? Went inside and got 2 cups to go and breakfast to go AWESOME.So next time in town get the coffee you wont be disappointed.

This is the largest and one of the oldest restaurants in San Juan del Sur. It is the most popular restaurant serving traditional Nicaraguan beach fare. Located right on the beach! Full service, full bar. Fabulous sunsets!

This is a party restaurant with good to excellent bar food and main dishes. The chef is sensitive to people with food allergies and dietary restrictions. I had a chicken fettuccine with a very good white sauce with butter and onion. Live music came on at 8:00 PM with a pretty good band playing 80’s and 90’s standards like Eagles, ABBA, Heart, etc. The staff surprised us with a lively Nica serenade and gifts of cake and a maraca for the kids to honor Mt daughter’s birthday. A Boston professional at 48–she was delighted and so were her kids.

taco stop is my favorite restaurant of all the restaurants i have at at worldwide. i give it a solid 5 star and number 1 rating from the more than 1000 different restaurants i have been to. Don't go to Nicaragua without going to taco stop. seriously, its that good.

Stopped in for a quick bite on a recommendation by house mates. I was so surprised once I walked into the door to head toward the back garden area. Super fun, inviting and great atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying their delicious smoothies and healthy bites! Definitely will be back to just enjoy the garden and refreshing atmosphere. Fair priced for such fresh ingredients and quantity ! A must stop!

I tried all 4 smoothies and 3/4 juices which were perfect as were the main courses and breakfast - only one dish on the menu disappointed
Great flavours colours recipes atmosphere staff - I can't fault the place although it is twice as expensive as anywhere else in SJDS (there is a falafel place too but otherwise it pizza no cheese) they sell vegan snacks homemade peanut butter too

As a beer aficionado, I make it a point to visit popular brewpubs and microbreweries everywhere I travel. So there was no way I was going to miss out on San Juan Del Sur Cerveceria.
By Nicaraguan standards, this place is really expensive. Then again, they brew their own beer and I figured it would be better than the national brands. A pint costs about the same it would cost back home, so no worries.
Went there for Happy Hour, which gets you a 15% discount on pints on certain days of the week.
I enjoyed my beer, but not as much as I thought I would. It was a blonde beer (5%) and it went down easy in that heat. Trouble is, I didn't find that it was truly better than a Tona or a Victoria Frost. Both of which you can get for about a dollar, while the one on tap at this microbrewery was 4 times the price.
In the end, I'm glad I went. But I wouldn't go back.
