Here you can experience the authentic Balinese life in the village and explore the garden with its various tropical plants. Rumah Desa was constructed with following Balinese building regulation, the so called "asta kosala kosali". It is very important to build house by following this regulation to keep the harmonious relation among nature, human beings and god.Rumah Desa was built to empower and develop the village through our programs. All activities we organize are aimed to develop our village and encourage the young generation in developing their capability. To support the society in the village we also use the houses of villagers for your overnight.Our concept is to create job opportunity for the villagers in order to increase their life standard, and to train young generation for a better capability. We expect that our people in Bali are ready to face the globalism, especially in the tourism business. Rumah Desa organizes some programs which are held in the village of Baru, in the Marga district of Tabanan, Bali. We invite you to experience the unique and authentic, culture, art, wisdom, rites and philosophy of Bali through our programs. And it is about one hour drive from International airport or 30 minutes from Ubud.

Took a 21 course cooking class and didn't regret it for a second!!!! What a Nice staff, trip to a pasar was Nice and al the dishes were to die for! Will absolutly recommend this to everybody! Great place, great people, great food, great pleasure!

Waterfall-Breeze Eco Cafe 1 "THE THATCH ROOFED-WARUNG and COFFEE SHOP is temporarily Closed !!! The Reconstruction of the restaurant and coffee shop, parking area, access path is still in progress. It will be reopened by the mid of May 2018. Thanks a lots

We went to Eco Cafe 2 for dinner on our first night in Munduk and loved it so much we went back again for dinner another night and to Eco Cafe 1 for lunch after a hike. Their spring rolls with the peanut coffee sauce are incredible!
The staff are wonderful, and we loved hearing about the student & farmer initiative.
Just be careful you're heading to the authentic and original Eco Cafe 1 - on the hike we came across a fork in the road, and there were two signs - the false one reads, '"Eco" friendly coffee shop', with arrows pointing over the bridge, but luckily we chose the high road and found the real cafe. Pun intended. That other one appears to be under the same name and branding to lure people there instead!
Anyway! Thanks Eco for some great meals and friendly service!

We loved this resort and its restaraunt. Make sure to try the chocolate desserts made with cocoa beans grown basically in the front yard in the dense food forest. I didn't know chocolate could be that good! Also, try the arak cocktail - it's made...MoreThanks for good review for our lodge and our restaurant . Next time try our organic coffee ice cream combine with palm sugar. All row food and our salad from our organic garden .Hope to see you again . Putri

We stopped in this warung while driving by motorbike in the beautiful countryside.
We ate ayam betutu (60.000 IDR) and ayam bakar (53.000 IDR): both were very good but the portions were very small. Lemon juices (10.000 IDR) were very good.
Staff was kind and the view over the rice fields was very nice.

This lovely restaurant with rooms makes a wonderful and peaceful base to explore the local area. There's a warm welcome from the staff and good quality food served is served in the restaurant and on the Terrace overlooking the lake.
The rooms are large and comfortable with good bathrooms and hot water. You can walk to the lake easily through the village but transport is a better option to see the many Waterfalls etc in the area.

Initially recommended by our homestay in Munduk, we ended up three times in Warung Classic during our four nights stay. You get blown away by the tremendous view - especially during and after sunrise. The staff was always very welcoming, the prices are very adequate and, most important, we enjoyed the food a lot - don‘t miss the Eggplant Balado, it‘s a blessing!

Two out of four members of our traveling group from California do not generally think highly of tofu dishes. One of them is brought up in Asian tradition. But we all enjoyed the variety of dishes offered here, even though the portions tend to be small, we just ordered about 2 dishes per person. Nice outdoor Seating and make sure to try the preserved fruit slices on display in jars. We wish they open a branch near where we live! A word of caution: if you are an animal lover, it's a bit distressing to see dogs in cages (by the parking lot); they look well-cared for, but so confined. Not an uncommon sight for domestic pets (in contrast to roaming stray dogs), but to the western eyes, it can be a bit repulsive.

Tried this on the way from the drive from Bedugul towards Kuta...slightly better than the 1st Babi Guling we had in Luwus.
The eatery is cleaner, brighter and the rice is served separately from the main ingredients. Pork skin is crispy and nice but the seems the nicest part of the meal is the accompanying soup, which we had complimentary top up.
To be honest this is only my 2nd Babi Guling meal in Bali, so I can't really comment much. But in itself, I guessed it's ok on it's own. (^_^)

Delicious food with a beautiful view over the rice terrasses. They offer Balinese/Indonesian dishes at fair prices. Try the Nasi Campur, delicious!
