We visited this restaurant/bar quite a few times in a fortnight holiday to Orgiva. The food we ordered was lovely and plenty of it, but also the tapas that you get with each round of drinks were of good quality, tasty and filling. The staff were all very friendly. Great for people watching of the colourful friendly characters that visit the place. Definitely recommend, children friendly too.

We love this restaurant. Beautiful courtyard with trees and fairy lights sets a chilled atmosphere. We enjoyed all of our courses- portions were huge! Can recommend the gorgeous basil oil bread and the melted cheese to accompany. Attentive service, delicious and reasonably priced wine.

We had a couple of beers and a pizza here . Situated in the square, it's a pleasant enough place for a quick drink and a snack. Pizza nothing to write home about, but quick and cheap.

Fran, the owner, chef, waiter, barman and bottle-washer is a master of his "brasa"..and oven in a hole in thw wall eith carefully tended wooden fire to one side.
He manages to produce perfectly cooked steak, pork chops, lamb chops, chicken breasts, goat, and occasionally wild boar every time.
And his portions! All I can say is that I wouldn't want to meet one of the pigs he gets the chops from on a dark night! They are huge! And he runs out of the big ones you get two smaller ones...
No frills sort of place..and no frills sort of prices. Very drinkable local wines, a fire to toast one's toes over in winter...and convivial company.
Tell him Ingles Juan sent you! Padre de Lily and Charlie!

Hello,
I thought I would contact you directly to give you some feedback after our visit to your restaurant on Tuesday August 15th.
I had read a number of reviews on Trip Advisor about the restaurant, some were very complementary, others were not.
As it was my husbands 80th birthday and we wanted somewhere nicer than the usual eating places in Orgiva, we decided to book a table.
We had a mixed experience with you.
We were a family party of 5 and had booked the day before by calling into the restaurant, however, on arrival for our 9 .00pm booking it was obvious you were not ready for us although the restaurant was practically empty. In fact another party arrived soon after and we were all kept waiting whilst your waiter and waitress more or less ignored us. I understand that they were waiting on other customers but the attitude was far from welcoming. If as I understand from your response to another review, that the manager would have been on site, he should have been alerted to the fact that there were guests waiting to be seated.
We were left standing for some time outside the bar area. My husband who uses a walking stick was not even offered a seat.
Tables then had to be laid indicating that you were not expecting us. It was 9.45 before we were settled with a drink.
Our order was taken but it was some time before our starters arrived. I'm fact we were thinking of leaving as we had arrived at 9.00 and had not begun eating our first course by 10 pm .
However our starters did arrive and they were delicious. Beautifully cooked, fragrant and delicately seasoned. Absolutely fantastic. The tomatoe and onion breads were also very good.
3 of the 5 main courses were also fine but my husband and myself had ordered the pork cheeks which we have had many times before in Spain. These were very poorly cooked. The meat was tough and chewy with little flavour. The chick peas and hoummus that came with it however were good. The pork cheeks were inedible.
We complained and your waitress asked what we would like instead. We chose the lamb.
You graciously came to our table to apologise , took responsibility for the poorly cooked pork cheeks and offered us complementary drinks. Thank you for that.
Unfortunately by the time our new meals arrived it was past 10.45, the rest of our family had finished eating , my husband and I were upset , his celebration was spoiled , we were past being hungry and didn't enjoy the lamb although I am told by one of our party that his lamb was very good. The evening was spoilt.
The total bill would not have been unreasonable at all for a party of 5 had all the food and service been good.
We would have been happy with the bill.
Unfortunately my husbands 80th birthday meal was not the joyous celebration it should have been.
Although the starters were exceptional, the service and 2 of the meals were not up to standard. In the circumstances I feel it would have been good customer service to strike those 2 replacement meals from our bill.
We have had more attentive service in local bars and cafes than at your restaurant although the food may not have been as imaginative.
Regretfully I have to agree with those critical reviews on trip advisor that the service ( apart from your own intervention ) was poor and the food not up to standard. I have carefully considered my comments in light of your replys to other criticism on trip advisor, but still find the restaurant lacking.
I hope that this was an 'off ' night.
We will be staying in Orgiva for the next 2 weeks should you wish to respond to my comments.
Yours sincerely
Jan Brotherton and Jim Cordell

Restaurant inspired in the american dinners and food-trucks. All our food is home-made food, organic and grilled on our bbq. We have got vegetarian and vegan options in all the menu.

I'd heard about this place and it seemed like a good idea. it was freezing cold inside they took ages to bring the burgers and the roll s they were on were very cold as was the piece of slate for a plate. The chips were good all eighteen of them. There was a T.V. beside us which showed no picture except that snowiness that comes from not being tuned in correctly, I switched it off several times but the waiter switched it on again, I suggested that a heater would be more appropriate but he said that would be expensive. The burger tasted good but I couldn't enjoy it I was so cold, I kept my jacket and hat on. We were out of the wind though.
