Lovely little wildlife centre. It is pretty small but lots to see. Hedgehogs running about in their pens, Deers, Badgers, Birds and more. The most interesting bit for us was the viewing windows into the nursery hospital where you can see the baby hedgehogs being cleaned and fed. Its very sweet and not badly priced. There is a play are and cafe and free parking.

So. Writing this review on behalf on my dog, Thia.
We do the firecrest walk which is roughly an hour. Lots of super smells for my nose and I am safe.
I ran off away from my Daddy and got lost but the lovely rangers found me and took me back. I was so happy to see Daddy again!
I often come here with my cousin Casper. Casper loves the woods and always gets dirty he is such a mucky pup! Everyone is so nice and I love the cafe where they put water out for me to drink which on hot days I really appreciate.
My nemesis the squirrel lives in these woods. I often see him and I am positive he finds me wherever I go! Mummy says I am imagining it and there are lots of squirrels around but I am not convinced.
The only thing that I have noticed is that there aren’t many poo bins around so Mummy has to walk holding my poo in the bag which is not ideal but Mummy says we have to respect the woods and the people that go there.
I love Wendover Woods. A big paws up from me!
RUFF!!!

Apologies. This is one of the UK National Trust's most visited properties, but I found it boring. It is a monotonous monument to pretension and conspicuous consumption, built for entertaining weekend guests. I don't object to money but prefer it to be accompanied by some...MoreThank you for your review, we're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with what Waddesdon had to offer. Hopefully you'll join us when the weather is warmer, the Gardens have bloomed and there is more open.

We turned up at Wendover Woods rather unprepared for what our friends had invited us to! However after overcoming our initial surprise at the sight of harnesses we climbed into the forest canopy and traversed a number of rope and wooden obstacles. We overcame fear of heights, slippery wood and the rain and overall had an amazing time. Would recommend to anyone but maybe bring some slightly less good clothes and decent trainers!

Brill is a small village and as the review says on the top of a hill in southwest Buckinghamshire. The views from the windmill are outstanding of Oxfordshire Bucks and in the distance Berkshire. A great picnic area and on a summers day lots of butterflies and moths. There is a public house close by, The Pheasant at Brill, but although I did not go in was busy which is a good sign with outside dining available. Brill is a great place to cycle to, but a word of advice. Travel on the road from Boarstall rather than Oakley as the climb is not as steep but then a great ride down into Oakley. Brill is wonderful place to go for a visit on a warm English summer afternoon.

Hartwell House Spa

Reviewed By Grahame B

Rip off spa, guest rate recently raised from £16 to £20, annual rate is astronomical for what is on offer. Whilst the pool is the best thing, it has recently been so hot you couldn't swim more than a few lengths. The gym is tiny and equipment old and out of date, the hot tub has been removed, the jacuzzi is not very effective and lights often not working, & the men's changing facilities terrible, tired and in need of a complete overhaul. Sadly, the management and staff are quite rude and dismissive if you challenge them on any issues. Overall I think the facility is poorly managed and completely overpriced.

If you’re after a walk off roads with safe crossings for family, or dog walking or a run this is perfect. A little overgrown now and a shame about people loitering which spoils it for everyone but it’s a flat pathed 7.5mile track from Thame to Risborough so good enough for any age and any ability. Something I’m thankful for having on my doorstep

Ascott House

Reviewed By Parish56

As NT members we have been to Ascott several times as it is only 5 miles from where we live.
Ascott is relatively small in scale compared to other NT properties but the grounds and Gardens are immaculate with the topiary exhibits being the highlight.
The house is also very nice inside but access is limited to some downstairs parts only as the Rothschild family are still in residence. There are many well informed guides inside the house who will enthusiastically answer questions and describe the history of the place.
