I have been here twice and both times left smiling like a happy little bunny with a huge carrot. Everything is perfect. The staff is delightful and awesome - I would have liked to give them all a hug when leaving. Food is just delicious, no matter what you are eating - no one in my table has ever had a single bad word to say. Dishes the food is served in is very much the viking style as is the decor, the place really owns up to its name. So I really really recommend!

We've been visiting this restaurant in the center of Nokia for many times. One reason is that there are not many family restaurants in the town ;) My son likes to eat kids chicken nuggets with 6 extra nuggets and daughter prefers bacon burger. I've been eating chicken with bacon for 4 times a row now... I think that maybe they have a new chef or something, cause food has been better earlier.Also they charge 1 euro for extra nugget and that's a lot! Service personnel includes some trainees, cause when asking for "a glass of merlot" I was offered a full glass of white wine!!!???

This place is more suitable to be visited in summertime because the weather up here can be very windy and cold in the winter. Still there was a constant flow of people going in and out. Great views from the tower and a nice café downstairs. Not too expensive. In summertime also Seating area out on the deck.

Beautiful old building, great food, great service. It was fully booked as usual but we had a reservation. It is a set menu on these special occasions with a couple of choices you can choose from. Whatever you chose, it was well prepared and tasted great. The service is friendly and the Terrace outside is a nice place to relax on good weather.

Want to sample moose? It's here. Reindeer? It's here. Some of the city's freshest bread? It's here. Need a pair of Sievi or Topman Finnish made shoes or boots? They're here. Better salmon or whitefish than you can get at K or S-market? It's here. Plus several restaurants and kahvilas. And of course, the best part of any Finnish Kauppahalli----the smells. The restaurant at the rear serves generous portions, and prices are reasonable and include dessert, juice, koti kalija (low alcohol beer), and milk. Under 20 Euros for a couple. Coffee costs an additional 1 Euro.
And of course, for more high end shopping and an Alko (state liquor store), the Sokos department store adjoins the Kauppahalli, and can be directly accessed.

Excellent fine dining in Tampere. The food was great and a mixture of nouvelle cuisine with the touch of locally found herbs was something new to experience. Service top of the class. Although on the expensive side, the restaurant provides a unique dining experience in the center of the city.

Warm atmosphere, in the middle of the town, and yet hidden. Food is wonderful, wine selection gives you plenty of choises. Please, note that table reservation for the dinner is recommended: popular place for good reason, and the chance of getting more than 2 places by just walking in is minimal. Please, note you get the table for 2-2,5 hours unless otherwise agreed. One could sit there easily longer...

Very basic, simple restaurant room, not so cozy. But if you don't mind of a decorations, you'll get friendly service and rather tasty food. This time I chose Pizza Kalimero which is a kind of comb of pizza and kebab. It was exactly what I needed and waited for! Thin base with lots of toppings and it was good.

Clean, almos always open, easy to come and go. Good service and very fresh vegetables. There is a huge parkingplace in front of subway restaurant
